Of course they can write..

You have Neal Schon and Jon Cain..Not much can go wrong, unless you have a label that retards musical prowess..

Why do u feel this way, Karl?

Neal and Jon clearly still have the magic (TPIYH, ABL).
It's the synergy of writing triumvirate, Cain/Schon/Augeri, that for me remains somewhat in question.

I think they do have writing chemistry, it's just going to take a complete turn around of the current American record industry for Journey to get some respect.

Whoa, honey. Let's get something straight. I know you have more than 1 user name, but we're not cyberpals. I work alone.

I wasn't referring to me as the "cyberpal". Instead, I am referring to your buddy here.

I only have one username and that is Journeytroll.

Does Journey has the chemistry? Yes, because they have toured steadily since 2001. Also, they have had three bodies of work in that time period.

Whatever you say my good friend. Hey, since you're mking accusations at this time, care to back your claim up with a name rather than innuendo?

If Arrival is any indication, then no, they do not have much chemistry. Higher Place is the only redeeming song on an otherwise amorphously generic album.

I haven't heard Generations yet, so I can't comment on that. I need to hear Red13 too, to make a fully informed and erudite opinion.

Hey Soledad, you get your name from the God awful town name, or the prison?

Dude, you have no idea what you are babbling about. You haven't heard Red13? You haven't heard Generations? And there is only one redeeming song from Arrival? Yeah dude....I bet you can't name more songs than that.

Higher Place is good, but then again, so are ALL the Blades/Schon collaborations on the album (World Gone Wild, I Got A Reason etc)

Please. Out of 15 tunes, you're saying 1 has merit? We Will Meet Again is too good not to be mentioned. What of Living To Do? Ki

Dude, you are the one babbling. Just because I haven't heard those albums doesn't mean I can't still form an opinion. As I said, I will have to form a more erudite opinion when I hear Generations and Red13, but as of now, my opinion stands. It may change when I hear them.

To recap, my opinion is most of Arrival sucks ass. Generic fluff. Higher Place is good, though.

I ain't stirrin' up anything, just posting my opinion, as you are.

Why does my negative opinion threaten you? Is this a case of, if you're not with us, you're against us? Pretty sad, dude.

Don't give yourself that much credit yet, Soledad. That asinie opinion doesn't threaten anything here, other than your ability to be taken seriously. The entire album is NOT generic fluff.
What was Andrew'srating of that record agian somebody?

Well, I mean, some of it is...but not all of it and there is definately more good songs on there besides "Higher Place".

Yes indeed. But For Chrissakes Andrew's ratings had it well in the 90s...
And with a running order of 15, your gonna get some fluff.

Exactly! How can you even comment on something You have NEVER heard?

That's like asking Rosie Odonnel to comment on dieting..She wouldn't have a clue.

Or perhaps George W Bush commenting on mensa..He wouldn't know what the Hell he was talking about, let alone he probably doesn't even know what Mensa is.

My problem with your post was IMO you were ill-informed..Other than that, I apologize for my angst..
