Best Neal Schon solo`s

What do fans generally think are Schon`s best guitar solo`s.

Fantastic guitarist who sounds as good on live recordings as on studio recordings.

Live, I like to hear the guitar played note for note as not all guitarists can reproduce the same or better quality in a live situation.

Outro solos on Stone In Love and Higher Place come immediatelly to mind....
"I love almost everybody."---Rocky Balboa 1990
"Let's reform this thing.Let's go out and get some guys who want to work and go do it"--Neal Schon February, 2001
"I looked at Neal, and I just saw a guy who really wants his band back"-JCain 2/01

Isn't Stone In Love regarded in music circles (whatever they are...;)) as his best?
I like the solo in Escape as well as Ask The Lonely.

I am partial to Mother, Father and Little Girl. Those are the most emotional solos I have ever heard.

IBAWY outro
Mother, Father with the nylon strings, acoustic sounds
The stuff on Late Nite, Hardline, and some of Soul SirkUS is all killer!

Neal got away from some of his melodic playing for a while on the Journey tours. I am glad to seem him quit trying to fit as many notes into a solo as possible and return to playing for feeling. THAT is what Neal's does BEST!

He has so many classic solos. But speaking as a guitarist, my favorite solos by Neal have to be:

LIGHTS
WHO'S CRYING NOW
SEPARATE WAYS

I wouldn't change a thing... I think they're perfect as they are.

To be honest...isn't this a silly thread. Neal is a virtuoso on the six-string harp....

My favorite Schon solo is and always will be 'Of A Lifetime', he flat out smokes on that song, solo and all.

I personally love the polished moving Send Her My Love...

Also, the outro on Be Good to Yourself..

Am I the only one who thinks when Schon wails or shreds, it gets kind of mumbled??

Trial By Fire. It, more than anything else I've heard him play, shows me that he can play, not just wail and shred. But then, I'm a sucker for the "lite stuff" .

Nope, you are not alone. That is why I am glad he has returned to his melodic playing. When he plays for feeling instead of shredding, he is amazing!

When he plays solo I can't hear him. JUST KIDDING!

Most of his work during the Steve Perry Years is outstanding and it's too hard to pick just one.

Couple of thoughts...

Stone in Love...for sure, which worked so well thanks in part to the writing (by Schon) of the bass line which complimented the guitar solo perfectly....

Saw some posts about TBF....the end of MOL - definitely got me going. I remember thinking "wow - Journey is back, and I lived to hear it"
