I am of the opinion that one of the reasons that Journey can't touch mainstream radio, while bands like Bon Jovi and Aerosmith can, is because of the fact that there was a 10 year gap between albums. Add to that the total lack of support for TBF and now no one will touch them, yet they still draw at concerts.
YES! Hindsight is always so 20-20, isn't it?

And we know there was a definite hip injury HOW?

Unless Perryheads have the surgery certificate (and they don't lest they would be flaunting it)
there is no proof. To this day I believe that hip injury/surgery (or lack thereof) caused a permanent rift in the band, and perhaps Perry's obvious embarrassment and hiding...at the WOF.

Perhaps the wrong approach? Maybe he should try pretending he doesn't give a hoot, then Perry will come running!
As for criticizing Journey's concert packages, nobody forced anybody to go that route. Perry offered fan club seating to his fan members of "SPIN." One newsletter and it was all over! To top that, he ended up canceling some concerts, and didn't show up for radio interviews. The DJ and callers had a field day with it. They didn't seem at all surprised that it happened.
But...since it was Perry, I suppose it couldn't
<Gasp> possibly be.
Steve is definitely NOT a Perry clone! Shows how much you know, Trollie. It's either mental incompetence, or you've never heard him sing. Either way, you lose.
