Last week it was on the "Going For Adds" list for Rock/Active Rock format. That put them up against the likes of Korn, Seether, Taproot, Disturbed, etc. Not where Journey should be. I do not think Rock Radio "added" them.

See my threads on BT

There is a lot of information in the threads. I used the following link for my info:

Good info, J28....bottom line I want them to get this thing ADDED to playlists.
TPIYH deserves some radio spins .

They need to be on the CHR POP and HOT AC charts, not the ROCK or ACTIVE ROCK charts.

I don't know what you guys are expecting out of all this.

I doubt Generations will even sell 100,000 units in the US. I also doubt any single is going to get much airplay. In other words, even less "success" then Arrival. I just don't see how it can happen.

The release was too screwed up. They have been giving the album away for MONTHS now. I just don't see how that is going to get album sales or airplay. If they wanted those things then the album should have been released at the START of the tour...not when it is over. Everything is backwards. I don't know why a label signed to release this album because of how it has been given away already....maybe they are under a multi-album deal and must release another album through them,. and hopefuly time things right?

When the first weeks sales are released and they are under 10,000 units, and the single gets hardly any adds, then what? That's basicaly what I expect to happen.

Personally? Absolutely nothing.
Every facet of this cd has been mishandled.
From it's production to it's ultimate distribution.
Every aspect was slipshod.

However, there's some good tunes to be found on it at least!

IMO the biggest mistake Journey made was trying to go it alone after leaving $ony. I will not believe that there wasn't another label that would have taken them well before 2005.

Whereas Bon Jovi's album is apparently going to be very successful, an album that basically sucks IMO. Very few tunes I can stand to listen to. But they have done a great job with promotion and have been on TV constantly since the album's release.
Of course they do have the advantage of not disappearing for a decade.
But they have handled promotion, etc very well. Its sad that hype matters more than quality.

Radio and Records doesn't get updated until tomorrow (I think). I am keeping an eye on it. But I have not heard the song, and not many others have reported hearing it either...:(
