Disagree. I feel "With Your Love" displays Journey just going through the motions. The lyrics feel half-hearted, as if pulled from some obligatory rock-ballad imagery checklist. And overall, the whole songs feels like it was systematically and factitiously designed to be the "Open Arms" of the album.
For some odd reason I feel "Loved by You" was penned with at least an iota of artistic sincereity and inspiration behind it.
Maybe it's just the passionate way Steve sells the song.

Yes Obiwan, I'll consult with Yoda.

Yeah, Jetster, I've listened. :D

Hey HOTS, go figure. :?

Let me tell you the story behind this. I can't really make an honest comparison to the other songs you guys have mentioned because I've only heard them a couple times. Loved By You was sent to me by a friend on a tape of various assorted Journey stuff. I copied the tape onto a cd and I listen to it in my car. That's how I've come to hear this song so much. It's good.

Huh....funny...that's exactly how I feel about 'All The Way'....

I think Steve Augeri gives an excellent vocal performance on With Your Love, sounds to me likes it's from the heart.

Loved By You is an awesome moody passionate ballad. I hate ballads.
But that is a good one.
Cause I get the feeling ATW, well hell you're right, WYL too were both designed with being Arrival's Open Arms. WYL got played at my wedding as per my request. the DJ knew it was a single in August, '01 too pretty cool.

Lota people who got married around that time used an Arrival ballad I see. Cool. Again I had With Your Love as a slow dance and we came out to the Stones' Love Is Strong off Voodoo Lounge.
