Why would Perry want to work with these guy's anymore, when they take swipes at the man all the time. He's far better of stayin outta there, and well away from them.

What swipes are you talking about. I understand that some comments are viewed as Perry-basshing because they are slightly negative, I understand it depends on which side you support more. But really, I have not seen any "swipes" at Perry. Even this comment does not look like anything negative to me. I don't see it as any bitterness from Jon. I think Jon feels Perry's actions/behaviours exemplify the feeling that Perry wishes Journey was gone. And I would agree. How is that bitterness or a swipe at Perry?

I am certain that Perry could write material in his sleep, that would be superior to anything the band Journey have done since 'Trial By Fire'. well 'Arrival' was very good effort.

Not by himself. Nearly every song Perry has ever been involved with has had multiple writers. I am sure he has a ton of ideas, and I would love to hear them finalized, but I do not think that will happen unless he finds a partner he connects with. With Perry's reclusive nature, I am certain it is difficult to find someone like that.

Again, exactly proves my point. Look how much more successful the band would have been if the guys had a good working relationship among each other AND especially a good working relationship(Perry) with the band manager. If this was true, then Journey would have released "Freedom" right after Frontiers or at least soon after.

Proves your point if they were "close" during the Escape and Frontiers days, I don't know that they were and have my doubts. Perry was traveling separately by the Frontiers tour at least. He and Jonathan may have been on good terms while writing Escape. Neal and Perry probably were not by that time. Jonathan probably had hard feelings toward Perry by the time Escape was released based on Herbie's remarks about how Perry took all the credit. They didn't need to be best buddies to be hugely successful for a decade longer than they were. They just needed Perry to be willing to work and to compromise, to be the democracy of Escape rather than the dictatorship of ROR, imo.

Jon was obviously bitter about this, and I would be too under the same circumstances. That doesn't change the reality of the general pubic's perception of Journey.

I don't know where you get this "obviously" part. I do not see any bitterness. In fact, in most articles Jon hasbeen very supportive or happy for Perry. He has said that it is a great thing.

Gee with Jonathan making these kind of comments in his interviews, it just says to me that HE is the one with issues, not Perry.

These kinds of remarks cause MORE harm than they do good. It doesn't bring anything positive to the band.

And IF Jonathan REALLY WANTED a relationship with Perry he would NOT being making these kind of remarks publicly, he would be trying a lot harder to reach out to Perry PRIVATELY to try to resolve their problems between one another.

The only possible thing these comments harm is Perry's speciously pristine reputation. The man's a janus-faced mother fucker. The more the world knows that, the better.

I've seen them twice and they sounded good live...but that's just my opinion...
