DLR hittin the road

David Lee Roth didn't expect to be on the road this season because of his radio program, but his schedule opened up when he lost that gig. Roth told LAUNCH he's mapping out a summer tour that will start in mid-to-late June, and that promoters are very happy he's available:

"The demand is, you know, superb. The demand is amazing. So I guess I'm lucky enough to be one of those guys now who can kinda point at the map and say, 'Let's go here' -- or, rather, my favorite expression, which is, 'Let's follow the sun.' And we'll probably do that about four weeks from now, I expect."

Roth's morning radio show ran from January 3rd through April 21st in seven markets. He probably would have done a few shows here and there, but it would have been virtually impossible to mount a proper tour and still be on air.
So far, Roth has announced three shows -- June 28th at the House Of Blues in Chicago; June 30th at the Summer Celebration in Muskegon, Michigan; and July 1st at Summerfest in Milwaukee.

Dave's a rock legend with generations of fans & touring like he's been doing for 4 decades is easy.
