This has nothing at all to do with Steve Perry.

Gee, then why is it CONSTANTLY being mentioned to bring Perry back? HOTS just started a thread about Perry coming back for the Red Rocks concert. Even Dean made a post BEGGING Perry's return. It absolutely IS an issue when posts like that are made.

Now that's an argument people just seem to want to make so they can somehow blame Steve Perry for Steve Augeri not being able to sing and causing a division between fans.

Certain people's angst towards Journey, IMO, has caused them to make a LOT of exagerations when they post. Perry fan after Perry fan keep commenting on this, when they have absolutely no love for the band as it exists today.

I'm sure he would admit; he can't sing these songs either. Why would you want him to embarrass himself by trying.

I wonder what type of feedback would be if Perry would be the one who was alleged to use sound cards or tape during shows if message boards were around back in 1982...

The Perrypodpeople would be defending him, no doubt. If he commited murder, they would be backing him. They would also making all the excuses as to why he was doing it. This has been going on forever, and it's not likely to go away, despite the fact that "sugar" gave the PerryBroads something to whet their whistles. However, they love to use people, and when they're done, they'll spit you back out.

Perhaps this is the real reason why he is out of the limelight? Mr. Perfection can't cut it anymore... Interesting observation, indeed.
