Knox, first and foremost, you are a great attribute to Journey. You have always been very fair to the band. Your posts are usually well thought out and thought provoking. With that said, I'm surprised at your surprise. BackTalk is a cheerleading forum. Dare anyone constructively criticize the people we pay good money to see...we become irrelevant. My best guess is you gave a review that was less than perfect...which pissed off the Kool-Aid convention. I hope this is a mistake. You are, and have been, a great fan of OUR band. Unfortunately, BackTalk is NOT a forum...never has been. They still think Journey never played to a recorded LEAD vocal track. That will not change. But neither will I. That's why I stay here. I hope you do too.

All I have ever wanted to do is to be able to give the bad (in my opinion) with the good (again, in my opinion). I don't want to go off on BT, because of my respect for Andrew. Although things here got beyond control for a bit, The Wombat allowed healthy discussion. I don't use foul language, so some of the arguing got a little bit for me to take, but I am not one to tell anyone how to live.

The reason I will stick around here is that though many of us disagree on matters, the majority of us are like "Forget the trivial stuff, let's talk about the band and the music.

Case in point. The first reply to your post was someone trying to jump on the fact that you spoke about BT. This poster didn't contribute anything interesting or even try to put a constructive spin on things - good or bad. This poster is simply trying to be a nuissance. One or two more still hang around, and you can tell by their replies to threads.

To take focus off of me, this place is a TRUE FAN'S board. Andrew does a heck of a job with this, and we should respect his wishes on HIS BOARD. Being HIS BOARD, he has been known to let a few people bend the rules - or break them - at HIS DISCRESSION.

So freaking what????????? If you take message boards too seriously you need to go have a peanut butter sandwich in the back yard and think about your life for about an hour or seven.

I Love Journey, I just don't LOVE Journey. They put out the best music I have ever heard, and I believe we are onto something great with Soto.

It is amazing how tame things are now that certain issues are behind us - even with cover ups still occuring.

This is a great time to be a fan of Journey, and to be a member of MelodicRock. This is why we come here.

Here's to a great tour, interesting news, fun discussions, heated debates, a possible new album, and to Journey and its fans!
