Seems that since they've done some of Schon's material life in Journey when he was with Hammer (or whoever), they absolutely SHOULD use SS material, since Neal obviously had a big hand in writing it. In fact, Deen came up with the original drum sound and licks, as well as backup vocals.

I say "Go for it!" I had purchased tickets to see SS at their first gig, but as we know it was cancelled.

The Journey material should always be played, but why not include other material that the guys have worked on? (That's rhetorical.) I'd definitely be up for it.

Oh great. Can of worms.

Let's do Lonely Shade of Blue and Hot Cherie while we're at it.

  I better get some HSAS in there, then.

Please correct me ,but didn't Jon Cain co-produce the Soul Sirkus CD and wasn't it recorded at his home studio?

I don't know about the producing, but I've read comments from both Neal and Jeff that it was recorded at Jon's home studio.

Okay. I've not followed JSS's career and only heard about him because of SS. I think it would be fine to do some of the SS songs live, in concert. I think they'd be on thin ice if they did songs from JSS's career.

Can of worms? That presupposes that anything we say here is going to make a difference. We're just talking - at least I am - and offering my opinion. That's all. Ultimately, the band will decide. I think it would be cool though.

Journey material, not SS, not JSS.

Play Believe off Generations and I'll gladly roll w/ that.

Well if Neal wrote it, and plays on the song with Deen, and now JSS is singing for Journey is it REALLY JSS material? How is something not possible Journey material if Neal wrote it and plays on it?

It's real simple. It's NOT Journey if it's NOT Journey.

It´s a good song but still sounds more like a Soul SirkUS song than Journey.
I think they should play more songs off the latest albums Arrival and Generations
coz that´s the state of Journey today.
But hey, than the audience would be reduced to a few thousands.
Journey is not just a band,it´s a way of life!
