Listening to it right now....this is great...

It's so WEIRD to hear Steve talk and then switch to singing!!

...or to even REALIZE that actual THOUGHT and PLANNING went into what he makes so effortless...

And yes there IS major thought and planning....I go thru it all the time...but this just proves that NO MATTER HOW BIG OR AMAZING you are, ya gotta "get in the trenches".

(other than the one on Times3)

Thanks!!

The "alternate version" is actually the one ON Time3, the original was the b-side to the Still They Ride single.

OMG, the hour long writting session of "missing you" killed me. He sounds so happy when he is writting wish he'd get back in and sweep all of us of our feet once again. :?

Ok well here are a couple more recordings if anyone wants them. You have to sign up to yousendit just because they are big files. Each contains about 7 or eight songs.

I just cant believe how easy it is 4 him tho. He's just sitting there writing & the voice that comes out is incredible. I dont think others could sound this good while writing.

You know what's truly amazing?

The fact that he's singing falsetto UNDER HIS BREATH, when he's mumbling a line to himself...just above a whisper...and it's crystal clear.

Thank you again for this....finally listened to the whole thing...amazing.

Hey I have a question:

Do you know what the song was that they were working on during the last 6 minutes or so? WOW - for a rough cut, basically pounding thru chord changes -some right; some wrong  - it sound very nice....Steve's vocal delivery had an "Operatic" feel to it.

Love Steve's falsetto...it's still absolutely gorgeous....makes me miss him even more...:(

Here is another

Postby tupchurch » Mon Aug 14, 2006 8:00 pm

I always loved The Storm. They had a good sound and they were not a Journey wanna be. Greg really came into his own with his song writing with the Storm IMO. Anyway here is Just the Same Way by the Storm live in WI.
