Edge Of The Blade...Augeri/Jrny Manchester England, June 06

Heres the link

I was at the gig, but god knows if this was live or lipped. Theres no previous recorded version with Augeri for him to lip too, so, are we to believe he recorded it again, just to lip too, or is he really singing? Some ball-breakingly high ad libs at the end, and Schon is really burning up the fretboard here....wow !!!

Judge for yourselves ...regardless, its an absolute storming version!!!, and a great audience recording

.... I go for "live" vocals here

Neil

O go for live vocals for 95% of 90% of all shows :?: :? -ERIC

It is confusing Eric, for sure

Im maybe with you..... possibly the recorded "feed" was going out for only so many songs.... it doesnt add up, Edge Of The Blade is a great performance.... maybe his voice only stood up for so many songs in the set...and they picked n choosed which ones he would lip??

Went to see this show, not knowing that "tapegate" had just been revealed

Thought it rocked, amazing, I even posted up my glowing review "On The Road" at Jrny.com

Judge for yourselves how much of it is lipped. I must say, I feel cheated now, after the event

Fuck it!

I don't care what anybody says, these are not perfect at all, but they beat the hell out of 2001. I avoiding listening to these because of all the accusations of lipping, but I don't know. Separate Ways is the only one that seemed pretty close to 2001, but I think these are live. Maybe there are some samples here or there to give him a boost, that seems possible, but I'll tell you something, this is H O T. end of story. Now if I could only get my hands on part 2 and 3!

Steve's voice is so close to perfect in these songs (except Faithfully, obviously) that that, in itself, would make me suspicious. Dean sounds fantastic, BTW, as usual. If you take this show for what it is and forget that Augeri is having "vocal help", it actually is a great show.

... and that is what they were banking on, ladies and gentlemen. Joe "I want the Dirty dozen" could care less.
