The guitar player from the Doobie Bros participate (sorry I forget his name)
and another track include the Tower of Power horn section - a personal favorite.

That is a girl on "Love Hurts" CatEyes. It might be Annie Sampson of Stoneground.

Sorry I misspoke earlie it is Joe Lyn Baker - not turner!!!!
Sorry for the confusion
I am listening to mine right now, and the announcer said that Annie Sampson and Jo Baker Of Stoneground brought in "Love Hurts" to the show. And Steve stuck in "Unchained Melody" in it.

I must say after listening, I much prefer Perry's voice, a little later on, when it acquires a little "smoke" around the edges.
Sometimes a slightly "blown" voice has those extra textures that just...sound right.
Love it, when after a tough and extended gig, my voice is slightly "cracked"..its always a good time to put on those Journey songs, sing along, and sound a bit like Perry... haha
