I don't think it's that bad. Anytime you transform a song to R&B it's going to have a different vibe. Because there's a video I'm assuming Perry or his label were already contacted and know about it. I just wish they used the plug "Here's Sharon Bryant singing her version of Steve Perry's Foolish Heart." Remakes should always acknowledge the original artist.

Exactly....I mean, they HAD to get his permission...I'm just wondering if he ever heard the "Final Product".

I agree,SJ...Not bad.She has a nice warm "black" voice and gives the songs an interesting ring.I like the vocal 'acrobatics' toward the end. 8)

I believe it was done with approval.

Thanks,Nora.

Being the former lead singer of Atlantic Starr, I didn't have a problem, even before I heard the song. I actually don't mind it at all. Then again I'm a collector of cover tunes. Didn't care much for the "acrobatics" as Shania pointed out, but it's no worse than the 112 version of Open arms. Which is pretty ok in my book too.

Thanks for posting this. It's just a different interpretation is all. I loved her Atlantic Star stuff.
