off topic #2.. Radio...

Postby lights1961 » Wed Sep 27, 2006 5:09 am

I just did a three---2 minute radio spots for my travel business on a local talk radio station....we are doing 26 weekly spots.... unfortunate..but this station does not streamline yet... ITS very cool. I must say talking into a MIC for the first time is nerv racking to say the least...But those of you that are in radio.. I ENVY YOU!! How much passion and love for either what you believe or playing the music is gotta be such a RUSH!!! Just like me for travel. gotta love it, or its actual work!!

Heck even if we just get a few calls and a couple of bookings at first... that would be more than I could have hoped for...

Best job in the world.

That's why those of us in are IN it. It doesn't pay worth a shit if you're not in a really big market, but it's a whole lotta fun! Now...we'll see what the response is from lights when his friends start to hear him on the radio and say, "I heard you! You're on the radio! You sounded so cool!" THEN he will have a big head and a hankering for the radio life! lol! :P
