Dude,

Thanks for suggestions mate. I'll try both pretty soon. A buddy of mine in a local band called Relic is wanting me to do Stone in Love and Faithfully in a couple of their sets. I haven't had the balls yet but its time to give it a shot. I'll have to ask Derick, their lead singer, about the compression and reverb to see if I can get it figured out. You'll also have to explain WTF the Antares autotune deal is. I can definitely hold pitch better with a guitar going. Hopefully it won't be too embarrassing.

L8r,

Aaron

u know something...stick a backing track behind it...and some compression....reverb and a touch of chorus..plus a little bit of Antares autotune here n there..and it would sound pretty decent.

And Im not being funny.... they are only the things that everyone else uses in their home sequencers or studios... brave attempt...just a voice... bravo dude !!

Jeremey,

Nicely done mate, the first 12 bars sound great. You have Perry nailed. I just can't listen to that song more than that though.

Cheers,

Aaron

I can take the ballads fine, just not that one. For some reason it upsets me to this day ... and has since I bought that CD in 94. I'll check out the link.

I felt like there were some better ballads out of the Against The Wall outtakes (like "One More Time") & really off of Trial By Fire, but there's something about "Missing You" lyrics that are really downers..the whole "you were there, now I'm here," thing.

Anyway, check out the link to the upbeat tune, just forgive the background vocals. I'm still training my boys.

I'm with ya man. The backing vocals sound alright to me, give the boys a break. L8r

My latest attempt at singing Journey. Why is it that the newer stuff where he sings lower seems harder to do ? I did a mother father esque ad lib at the end. Tell me what ya think of it ? Oh yeah, its If he should break your heart. I think I messed up the lyrics in a spot or two.

Folks,

Does anyone have the backing track for Stone in Love. If so, I'd really be grateful if you would share.

Thanks in advance and l8r,

Aaron
