I get what you're saying. Yeah, to an extent they are all wrong, however. As I said before, I gave these guys a total break because it was there 30th tour...They made some damned fine music in that time and I was content to not say anything. It was only when they started up AGAIN when I lost it.
After finding out Augeri himself was eager to continue this way, that's when all the "classy gentleman" and "nice guy" shit was a lie. He was more pissed than anyone....finding out he had to sing live. Imagine that? I can't believe mean old neal Schon and friga would demand that their singer actually sing! Terrible friends those guys are!

Ahh but Deano.....that is where they become even more guilty in your scenario. They could have replaced Augeri before Europe. He was sick in January, perfect opportunity to replace him before the tour started. But you see, they all said "fuck it". This makes them all accountable. Just seems silly to forgive them now. And my beef is that you are trying to make Neal seem the most innocent and the one who had the wool pulled over his eyes. Being in this business since 14, he's learned quite a bit. Everyone, myself included, know Neal is, was and always will be Journey.

I'm done now.

No way. All Perry has to do is say the word and he's in. Perry is more of an asshole than Neal. I mean that in a good way. You have to be an asshole to survive 30 yrs in the music buisness.

You're clueless. That statement made by Neal no longer stands.

Perry did say the word! If they go on without him, "There's no going back."
Perry is the survivor so far. His sidemen are surviving by playing the hits from the Steve Perry Years. Herbie is a great fortune teller. He foretold all this a few years back and we doubted him.

I'm so glad he said that. Thanks Steve.Perry is the survivor so far. His sidemen are surviving by playing the hits from the Steve Perry Years. Herbie is a great fortune teller. He foretold all this a few years back and we doubted him.
Surviving from the couch is fucking tough! Boy that Steve perry is a tough cookie!
See HOTS, all you can do is tear down Neal and Friga. You can't prop up Perry because there is nothing left to prop up. You ever hear me say Perry sucked? If I did, you can cut my dick off and shove it in my mouth. However, if you can tell me with a straight honest face, that Perry is a better singer than Neal is a guitar player, I will lick your dirty meatditch.
Monker wrote:jrnyman28 wrote:. And they could easily put out the empty offer, knowing that Steve would not be able to take them up on it...
Yeah, they could publicly say, "Yeah, Steve can join us to perform any time he wants to. It's an open invitation."
Then, when Augeri makes the call...They can tell him, "No, no, no, we meant Steve Perry."

I hear he's been telling that story to lot's of people..... NOT his idea, had NO IDEA it was happening.
JourneyRox wrote:Well we'll all soon hear an announcement methinks & then I guess Augeri's chronic throat infection will have become permanent. Will u believe then, Monker?
Or are u just sourgrapes because someone other than u broke this news?
Rockin'Deano wrote:I find it amusing that the weak link, your guy Augeri, was the reason tapes had to be used, and you try to turn things on Neal. Yeah, that's it, blame Neal for Augeri's lack of ability to do his job. Blame Neal for everything.
MCC620 wrote:If it was going down the way you say...then THE ENTIRE BAND KNEW! You are trying to give Neal and the boys a pass now.....a couple of months ago you wanted Neal and Jon burned at the stake too. You can't make comments about this being Neal's band and Neal being Journey and want anyone to believe he knew nothing. I did notice you have changed your comment to be, it wasn't his idea. Did he tell you to say that on his behalf too?
Rockin'Deano wrote:No, he didn't tell me anything about this. Neal has a sharp tongue and doesn't need me to talk for him. He just doesn't waste his days on a message board like some of us.
Now, I see your attempt at diversion, Maria. Augeri was the problem, not Neal. Sure they all knew, but I honestly don't think some knew to what extent.
Well, aside from knowing that this shit was going on, it wasn't Friga's fault Augeri couldn't sing. It sure as hell wasn't Deen's fault...Hell, Deen saved his wretched ass nightly. Deen should call him and ask for half of the money Augeri stole, disguised as a paycheck. It definitely isn't Neal Schon's fault. He plays his guitar (does his job) impeccably. I fail to see how this is anyone's fault but that phony fuck, Augeri. Please explain this Maria.
