Geez I dunno John. There've been a lot of "hits" over the yrs that I absolutely hated. Even back in the day when I liked music that was on the radio.





Hmmmmm. And this is in disagreement with my statement, how? Didn't I just get done saying in the sentence you quoted that a song becoming a hit doesn't mean it's good music? Don't get me wrong...I'm VERY okay with people disagreeing with me. In fact, from all my years on BT, I almost prefer people to disagree with me! That said, it doesn't look like we disagree here!

Maybe I misunderstood u (sorry I'm in pain today & taking off work as a result which I rarely do). I thought u said having a hit means the public will accept a singer? At least that's how I read it.
