What will Neal do next?

What do you think Neal will do next?

I on U was a killer CD, and I still play it, although I must it admit it took me over a month before I got into it.

Voice was a killer CD which I loved immediately, and it got a grammy nomination! But I don't listen to it much anymore.

Pirhana Blues is the ONLY Neal CD which I hate, because that singer was fucking horrrible. Pity Neal didn't just sing the songs himself!

Hey, theres an idea! I wonder if Neal will sing again? He isn't JSS or Perry, and call me crazy, but I like how Neal sings! He kicks ass on Voodoo Chile, and he sang a few cool ones with Jan Hammer, and Late Nite kicks ass and Neal sings great on that.

I'm torn. I would love to hear Neal do some singing and heavy attitude stuff, I'd like to hear some moody fusion stuff like I on U, and I'd like to hear some passionate melodic stuff like Voice! Maybe he should put out 3 disks this time around? 8)

He had stated his intentions to work on a new blues album, but with the recent lead singer switcheroo, I think his sights may stay intently focused towards the Journey homefront. Just a guess!

"late night" is my favorite by far for his instrumental tunes,, i hope he just concentrates on the new journey tunes now,, those solo albums seemed to be worked up real fast,, maybe not "voice" , "but killing me softley",, ugh!! "electric world" didnt do much for me, i wonder if he still has a contract with "higher octave"????

Maybe it's just me... but, I'd still like to see him get together with Sammy Hagar and do something. (Just don't call it Planet US.)

I'd rather he stick to what he's been doing. Not into the Latin stuff.

No latin or asian for me. We need a Rockin', Edgy Journey CD with JSS on the lead.

I think if the guys in Journey would like to see a comeback for the band, Neal needs to concentrate solely on Journey for awhile.

A couple of ballads are fine as well. But, the overall feel needs to kick ass. 8)

Not true. Neal works at it so hard, and comes up with so much stuff that does not fit the Journey (or any other) format, that is why he needs solo albums to not waste it. The dude has talent! I think he should sell all his extras right of his website in MP3 format. I'd love to buy the stuff that doesn't "make the cut"

My favourite cd is Beyond the Thunder, i would like him to a cd in the flavour of 'Big Moon' which always reminds me of 'I'll be Alright Without You' and ask Perry to do a number or two. No Journey reunion just two guys doing what they do best, failing that ring up Hugo! 8)

I'm pretty sure they went out of business or were bought out by another label- his contract was done with them anyway. I on U came out on Steve Vai's label "Favored Nations".

Neal is such a prolific writer that he could record a new CD of his own stuff in no time. I remember the statement about the Blues CD and that would be cool, but I think he will stay focused on Journey right now.

One more plug for Neal's singing: He did something even Augeri couldn't do as a singer! Neal had a song that was a rock top 40 off the Late Nite album! Rememember Blackened Bacon? I remember that song getting played quite a bit! 8)

Well if he does do another solo album soon, I throw in another vote for the latin/blues fusion sound that he had on the Abraxas Pool record or say something it the style that Gregg did on Roots. I wish Neal and Gregg could find the time to work together on side projects more than they do. If the Abraxas Pool album had come out at the same time as Santana's Supernatural, I think AP could have had a hit record on their hands. I guess it is good for Journey that didn't happen.
