Hmm.

And Perry's hip prob was not "trumped up"- it was a very real problem that prevented him from being able to tour for some time SO get a clue before you spout off.

wow.

As to the power of the internet, trust me the band pays little attention to it and NO attention to bullshit comments like the one you just made...

Congratulations. You just made yourself look like a complete ass in front of everone.

You were 100% incorrect on EVERYTHING you posted.

Again, congratulations.

Actually, they pay a great deal of attention to what is said out there. A GREAT deal of attention.

That, and I'm sure they've been paying a great deal of attention to the reviews at Journeymusic.com. Not BT, but the "on the road" section reviews.. People are loving JSS & they're saying it!

Too bad I feel uncomfortable posting over there anymore. Maybe the band would just as soon shut down the forums there. I dunno? Funny though. All the "speculation" seems to be becoming true. I had a feeling it would. Eventually.

Why is it big news? They did the "Huge news" in 2004, and they were flat out awful. They are ugly, drunk, fat and just plain overrated. I would loive to see them go up against Journey with JSS and get their coolective asses blown away.

A tour with Roth is what most VH fans have been waiting for. I would be more excited about an album.

I dunno...I can't get excited about this. I'd be very surprised if it actually happens.

There's so much shit going on, now and in the past, that if they DO get together, I wonder how good it will be?

It's our generation's version of Page and Plant reuniting.

I am sure they will hate each other again before the tour is over.

Yeah. I'm not too excited either unless Eddie stops drinking and delivers the goods. They also likely won't invite Mike Anthony. Sorry, but if you are gonna go to all the trouble of finally getting Roth onboard, don't screw it up by kicking out Mike. Mike played a huge role in their sound with his very distinctive harmonies.

So...who exactly IS VH now, is it MA or EVH's son that would be in? If they had MA then I'd definitely be interested, but I don't know if I'm into it otherwise.

Recent interview with Eddie I heard made it sound like Anthony won't be touring with them again. He mentioned that it was Him, Alex and his son Wolfie that are now Van Halen. Then again, this IS Eddie talking and we know how Helter Skelter he can be!  :D  :D

Helter Skelter is an understatement

That's why I'd be very surprised if this actually happens.

Won't be the same w/o MA :(

I'm not at all interested in seeing Roth do anything, and even VH fans I know are very skeptical. Plus..then you have the whole "will it last" question.

Eddie let Journey play in the same venue as him on the same night???...Fuck no...that guy knows Schon would blow his drunk skeleton ass off the stage.

Yeah...right...band members don't read this message board. I guess I've just imagined every JSS post?

This would've been more exciting 5-10 years ago but now...

This has Train Wreck written all over it.

They should film all the behind-the-scenes stuff for another reality show...
You think watching Anna Nicloe Smith's show was hilarious???
This would be Dysfunction and Utter Disaster at it's best :)

I bet they go the route of the Crue; all 4 traveling in 4 seperate buses (3 if Wolfie IS playing Bass; he and daddy can cuddle) and only really talking to each other when they have to...
It's gonna definitely be interesting :)
Welcome to Terminus... You hungry?

Wasn't Soul Sirkus being promised they could open for Van Halen on the last tour and Eddie decided against it and fucked Neal over on that? I guess he remembered how his own band used to blow away Black Sabbath when they opened for them. Me thinks he was afraid of that very scenario with Soul Sirkus

BALONEY! If they did then they would've done a Latin rhythm album by now! Or maybe I'm living in a dream land and perhaps the idea truly is STUPID...?

Could you please ask them about this in your next interview or should I simply assume the stupidity of it all?

LOL...I believe you are the only one on this crusade. There will be no Latin album!

*SNIFF* I know. I'm the one JOURNEY speaks of in the song "Ask The Lonely".

All by myself...la, la, la, la...

Anything else?

Neal and Jon BOTH auditioned him and BOTH felt he was capable and since 1998 he's proven himself capable. Even the great and respected Herbie Herbert told the story of how he saw SA in concert and recognized that he embraced the songs as his own. Considering how many hit records these guys have had compared to how many you've had I'd have to say that they're the better judges.

I just don't understand the constant and intense disdain spewed at SA. The compulsion to berate the man and his time with JOURNEY is beyond me.

Maybe -- its because he mimed!!!!!!!!!

Neal's guitar playing is exceptional, BUT when it comes to making "good decisions" for the band, I think that remark made by HH himself, (Not the sharpest knife in the drawer) certainly holds true about Neal!

It is real interesting Neal could see it that way about MA , and sad that he didn't see it that same way regarding Perry.
