JSS Under Suicide watch in Little Rock?

Postby Rockindeano » Mon Oct 30, 2006 10:15 am

OMFG. The Pittsburgh Steelers, World Champions(albeit it Bullshit Champions), have just lost to the worst franchise in sports, the Oakland Raiders.

How in the Fuck is this possible?

Perhaps he can write a song filled with Hate, despair, disgust, and pathetic overtones.

What the fuck is up with Roethlisberger this year? Losing to the stinky ass Raiders? I've never seen Azoff but in my mind he looks like Al Davis.

The Steelers are a FRAUD team! Any team who loses to the Raiders (who are AWFUL) should be thrown out of the NFL! It's looking more and more like Roethlisberger had a bit of a lucky year last season, because the guy flat out sucks this season. Go Patriots!!!!

Actually, I'd say it's looking more and more like Big Ben was more seriously affected by the impact of his crash than many thought...

BTW, as a Bolts fan: thanks, Colts!

Fuckin Cowher should've put Ben on the back-burner for the next 4 games and started Batch.
Come on, in the past 4 months the guy NEARLY DIED putting his head into a windshield, had emergency surgery to remove his apendics, had flu-like symptoms with a 103 temp AND just had a concussion last week...

The last 4 months have easily takien 7 years off this guys fucking life!
Bench him, let him properly heal and rest...
Hell, if there's a lightening storm in Pittsburgh, keep Ben in the house!
This guy is just having one bad stretch...

Pretty embarrassing to be a Steelers fan right now, losing to the Raiders, but I blame Cowher alittle...
Ben isn't gonna say he needs time to rest but Cowher should know to make that call.
Welcome to Terminus... You hungry?

Big Ben's deal with the devil must have expired. He is human again. Plus the team no longer has the hunger. You can see that.

Cowher needs to get him out of there and let him watch for a while. But it is great watching them fall like that.

Granted the Raiders are in the lower ranks of the NFL this year. But the worst franchise in sports???? With 5 S.B. appearances and 3 Lombardi trophies? That ranks pretty high in NFL terms, dumbass! Words mean things jackass and you just said the Raiders are worse than the Lions, Cardinals and 80% of the rest of the league.
You just proved you know less about the NFL than you do about politics. Be prepared to come back and defend your idiotic comments and argue why the greatness of the Lions, Cards, Saints and the majority league are better than Oakland! I can't believe you're that friggin' stupid. You must have been sucking on a beer bong or something else before you pounded out that idiotic comment  Unbelievably stupid :!:

Well, I definitely don't think the Raiders are the absolute worst franchise in the sports world. That said, over the past 20 seasons, with the exception of one super bowl appearance (which by the way, they didn't even show up for, as they got SMOKED), the Raiders have definitely been among the worst franchises in sports. Their record speaks for itself. Just since they got annhialated by Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl, their record is a sterling 15-40 (and this was even after their surprising win yesterday!). That is downright embarrassing!

We have 4 NFL World Championships in Baltimore. 1958, 1959, SuperBowl V and XXXV

I personally can't believe Cowher didn't go with Charlie Batch instead of Big Ben. I think Ben needs a rest. Just too many injuries and it's obvious he isn't himself at the moment.

BARELY. Broncs/Plummer played an almost flawless game. Needed a touchdown on their final possession though, would have sealed the deal. Got to give it up to Indy's offense when the Broncs defense can't stop them....

Guess again. 8)

The Baltimore Colts Super Bowl V trophy resides in the Sports Museum at Camden Yards next to Oriole Park. When the Colts moved they left all memorabilia belonging to the Baltimore Colts behind.

By the way for those visiting Baltimore on 11/9 & 10, that museum is a pretty fun way to spend a few hours. All kinds of incredible displays. It's geared to the Colts/Orioles and Ravens mostly, but the out of town people I took there a few weeks ago loved the place.

Yeah you're right, the Raiders have had a couple of bad seasons the past couple of years. Then again the Patriots haven't won a S.B. in almost 2 years. So they've been a pretty bad franchise too. Just another also ran who can't make it to the top. Yeah the Bengals have a better squad this year, since 2002 in fact. I wish the Raiders had an empty trophy case like the Bengals. And how about those Red Sox? Even the sun shines on a dog's ass every '87 years or whatever the hell it was :D The Raiders will be fine after they trade down a few times.

Dude...

I would never defend the Red Sox record of futility (i.e. lack of championships over 87 years). That said...People outside of Boston really don't get the whole Red Sox thing. We're a VERY different breed of fans and the most loyal fans you'll find ANYWHERE on the planet (Boston is the ONLY place you'll ever see a 38 degree Wednesday night game in April against Tampa Bay sold out)! Honestly, we never really feel the need to pound our chests about the Sox. Going through all of our misery over so many years sort of conditioned us not to get hysterical when our team didn't win it. That's the sort of thing that just happens when generation after generation passes by without winning it all.

Honestly, we got our championship in 2004, so you'll never hear any of us complain. As my t-shirt says "I can finally die in peace"! Most of us Sox fans simply wanted to see them win it just once in our lifetime (see...we're not a greedy bunch). Our wish was granted. The fact that we never have to listen to another rotten, obnoxious Yankees fan mutter the numbers "1918" again in our lifetime is a BEAUTIFUL thing! Oh, and the fact that the Yankees managed to CHOKE up the biggest collapse in the history of organized sports to the Sox on our way to the trophy just made the taste of victory all that much sweeter. Tell that jackass Al Davis I said hello, and that I fully admire his "Commitment to Mediocrity"!!!!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Is this Gordon? Regardless of who you are, all I can say to you is this isn't BT, dude. It's a whole new world over here. You'll get offended...you'll offend someone...you'll praise Journey...you'll rip Journey as new asshole...you'll see some naked chicks...you'll get some great boots...you'll get relevant Journey news and information here, FIRST! See that...if you take away everything but praising Journey, you'll have the other place. Here, you can do all of the above, and more, and it's okay.

While I don't agree with everything I see on this board, there are a lot of great people on this board. There aren't 5 people on that other site that I would sit down and have a drink with, after posting 6 long years over there! Conversely, there probably aren't 5 people on this site who I wouldn't sit down and have a drink with (unless I found out they were someone I despised from another place!). Andrew does a superb job with this site and in spite of the constant bitching about Deano and the pain in the ass that is Monker, this is the best run forum site that I've been on. There is something to be said about letting people say what's on their mind!
