Hey Everyone,

I went to the Journey / Def Leppard show last night here in Atlanta. My 6th Journey show,
4 with SA, and 2 with JSS. The first with JSS was his 4th show (I think) singing lead for Journey.
I was up close, I could see the facial expressions, the sweat, etc... I saw what others here
have remarked on... Can he sing Journey's songs ? JC's lack of enthusiasm.. etc...
I enjoyed the show, and was glad to see the band rebounding from "tapegate".

BUT, last night just blew me away... The band was hot and on fire !!

Again, what others here have posted about the band throughout this tour is true !!

The inclusion of MOL and IBAWY were the highlights for me.

If you have the chance to see the band, GO !! They rocked, and they rocked hard.
Not once did I get the feeling of just "going through the motions". Set aside your SP and
SA differences.

I've been a fan since the Infinity album, and will continue to be one until they call it a day.
I'm a casual Def Lep fan, and yes, I think Journey should have been closing the show.

Jeff Scott Soto - THANK YOU !! to you and the rest of Journey for any awesome show !!

I look forward to hearing new music with the intensity and fire that I experienced last night.

I was fortunate and picked up two seats on the 2nd row from Ticketbastard's site the day of the concert (well, fortunate except for the $280 whole in my checking account). My 11-year-old son was excited about going. He had seen Journey with Styx and REO, but had not seen Def Leppard before.

The coolest part of the evening I thought was when we took our seats about an hour before the show. One of Journey's crew came out and gave him 2 of Deen's Journey drumsticks, and they looked like they had been used! He was thrilled, and got to stand right in front of Neal for the entire show.

I was amazed at how much better Jeff sounded than the Atlanta show back in July. Sounded like a different singer. I had my doubts after that July show - those doubts are now gone! He seemed to nail the high notes without strain from what I could hear! Deen was amazing singing the two ballads. Damn, that guy can flat out sing!

I enjoyed Journey's show more, but Def Leppard's vocals were much more up front in the mix. Jeff's vocals were a little light in the mix for my ears, but may have sounded fine farther away from the stage.

Except for the two awful cover tunes from Def Leppard's "Yuck", er, I mean "Yeah" album and the pathetic "Make Love Like a Man", it was a great night. Can't wait to see Journey on a headline tour to see what songs they add when they play a 2 or 2.5 hour show.
