Not only were the vocals incredible, but the boy can MOVE!!!!!

The concert far exceeded my expectations, as well as those of my husband, my son, and his friend Kevin (who actually saw Journey at Bristow this year). Of course, meeting him and Ross at Ed & Lori's was just incredible! Ross was hilarious both at Ed's house and during the concert!!! I love his comedic performances (and ya'll say SP can't dance!!!
PU-LEEZE!!!) The only thing that was missing, IMO, was Deen's version of "Mother, Father".

Thanks Journey for keeping the magic alive. I'm not giving up on Perry though. And although I don't remember some things (NIG!!! ) I do remember several of you guys telling me I wasn't the only loon in the looney bin Thursday night!!!

I want to thank all my new friends for making it so great!!!!

Now, Jeff...take your "fucking 2 weeks off" and then make some plans to get into the studio with the boys!!!

DP, I am glad you have seen the light  Great to meet you as well. Did you forget the "Jungle Juice" Thursday night? It' probably good if you did. The Goose was plenty.

Hey Vader...

I asked who wanted it, and no one replied, so I assumed nobody did. Hell, the 2 bottles of Grey Goose and the Alabama Slammers were enough of a contribution, don't ya think???? 8) There was more than enough liquid refreshment to go around...

Was there liquid there? i thought there were just crab balls which JSS and I shared together!...Gee, someone should have told me there was some liquid refreshment!!!!!!G

LOL...That's absolutely true!

No that is not entirely correct. Augeri had a lot of negative stuff to deal with - far more than JSS has had to endure. But Steve was following on after Perry, so one would expect that.

Yeah, but Monker, we were all desparate for ANY Journey. This is different. JSS came in and punched us in the mouth!

I agree Eric.

ANY Journey is better than no Journey. 11 years with no new material (85-96). JSS and the band have so much enthusiasm right now. No offense but I never saw that energy with SA and I liked SA. For me it has always been about the music, not necessarily the front man. I am not foolish enough to think Journey would be around without SP, so lets stop that before it starts.

If you haven't seen Journey with JSS and with an open mind I don't believe you can rip the band. Seeing is believing!

It's all just part of "Evolution"

My nephew told me a story yesterday about a friend of his who bought tix for the Hollywood Bowl show. When he found out Augeri wasn't singing, the was pissed and was going to sell his tix. My nephew told his friend about JSS and that he should go. So the guy went and told my nephew that he was blown away by JSS and the band. I am sure this is happening at every show.

Happened for me NIG. I was not going to another show after the Hershey debacle. Once I knew JSS was singing, I had to find out for myself. 2 shows later with JSS and blown away is an understatement.

back in june, when lora & i got our tix to see journey at shoreline, we were expecting to see journey with augeri. we didn't know what to expect when they flew in JSS in july. i'm a huge soul sirkus fan, but i really didn't know how he would fit in with journey. we went to the show in august with open minds & were pleasantly surprised with his voice, energy & stage personality. we enjoyed the show enough to see them again. seems like JSS is getting better & fitting in with the band more at each show. i'm ready to hear more from JSS & journey.

I totally agree with you. I didn't really know that much of Jeff's work before this tour, so I did not know what to expect. I knew he'd be good, of course, but I was BLOWN away!!!

This thread is like a church revival where folks head up to the front, to let everyone know that they've seen the light.

Hallelujah!

I think that they call it testimonials.

Thanks. Have fun reading the Perry "interview" next month. It's all you will get for a while.

I will, which is more than what I can say for the ardent Agueri fans. Which I recall you were one. :D
Things that make you go hmmm..... :D

Still am. I'm a Perry fan, too. But neither one can do the job anymore, and JSS is making jaws drop every night. Donnaplease is a Loon who is able to accept reality. Now it's your turn.

No thanks, I'll stick with the best, you can settle for the rest. :D
