I went to a country concert on 2 occassions. First was Garth Brooks. It was ok. HAd enough pyrotechnics to make his friends in Kiss proud. Didn't know any songs though.

The second time was at Martin State Airport for an outdoor festival. It was Faith Hill, Martina McBride, and Tim McGraw. The girls had pretty voices and Faith Hill was hot. Tim McGraw was beyond awful. We all were laughing at his hat.

Went for free beer. OK day, with some nice looking women around. However I'd rather listen to the soundtrack of a cat being murdered, eaten, then thrown up and eaten again.

"And when little Sarah was crying, I said honey look up to the stars,
Mommy's looking down at you, and those lights will ease your pain
And just then like a miracle, the heavens opened up with rain"

I'm not familiar with any country music, just not my thang. Actually, I do like Jimmy Buffett, he's considered country, isn't he?

He's got this hysterical song called "Why Don't We Get Drunk...." I highly recommend it :P

Oh yea - I love that JB song!!

Hmmm. Sounds like what must have happened to our 2 cats recently. The woods are right behind me and I think some foul creatures disposed of our cats for us.

I'm sorry... the coyotes here are a problem.

Some tell me it's the fisher cats but others tell me it's probably coyotes. I think I have to go with coyotes. Although I've heard owls can be a problem as well. I've got 2 more cats coming in Dec courtesy of wife & the kids. They beat me into submission again. Now they will have to be indoor cats with the foul smelling kitty litter boxes. :x

Exactly...and that's why it would be perfect for Journey....

Who was the country artist who covered "Faithfully"? I vaguely remember it was someone called Loretta Lynn....anyone know?

No I wasn't Loretta Matt. She couldn't carry that tune in a basket. It was Lori somebody. I really liked a couple of her songs but her last name slips my mind right at the moment. Is it Martin, maybe?

I've gotta go with Rascal Flatts. Shania would be good too though. I'd really love to see them do this. In fact my husband, who's a huge country music fan and plays bluegrass guitar and banjo(he's come to appreciate Journey because it's all he hears in the car), said he'd like to see Journey do this show. I saw some of the one with Heart and Wynona.

I believe it was Lori Morgan. So the majority seems to be Rascal Flats or Shania, so how does Journey make it happen :?: Or is it CMT that would have to make it happen :?: Great publicity if it happens.

It was Lori Morgan, and boy was it an awful version of Faithfully. I have a few other versions of the song that are SO much better than Lori's version, by unknowns.

Yeah, Lori Morgan, that's it. Thanks. I've only heard clips of her singing Faithfully and don't remember much about it. She had a pretty decent hit out of a song called "What Part of No Don't You Understand?" and a bigger one of "I'm Looking For Something in Red". I liked both of those songs.
