I'm posting this as a reminder to us all of why Steve was the man chosen to lead the band into the 21st Century and why, no matter what happens and who winds up leading Journey into the future, this man deserves much more respect than he's been getting.

If anything, this interview should serve to remind people of what a naturally affable guy Augeri is.
Neal once stated something to the effect that Augeri is a smooth operator; that one of his New York-ish qualities was his ability to cajole people.

A trait, no doubt of which became invaluable as he was showered in compliments nightly for songs he wasn't really singing.

Thanks to Andrew for such a great, in depth interview. Can't wait to read the upcoming Journey interviews.
