lol- Speaking of "Rosanna", ask Jeff if that's him on the Talisman DVD when there's a little snippet that shows the drummer & you can hear someone singing this?

I think Jeff likes Toto, lol. There's a vid on his site of him singing "Hold the Line" too. :)

You all have my personal promise. IF Journey tours with KISS, not only will I start a Blog, but I will blow up both of their buses and beat the shit out of the individual members. Fuckin KISS.....Pathetic.

I would have to agree 1000% with this, I'm not a KISS fan at all. I will help finance this if we need too. I have have some " Family" that could help us out that is in NYC.. close too KISS.

1) KISS has a lot of fun tunes

2) Night Ranger is a great band, and they made a great opener for Journey at the NYS fair in August of 2001.

3) Toto is very talented.

Uhhh....Toto does not need to tour with Journey, they're makin' tons of Euro's and some Benjamins too right now, so they're fine on their own...

And how many Grammy's did Toto sweep back in '82...?

KISS would draw too many other fans The KISS ARMY, not the fans for a Journey concert .

Night Ranger would be good

Not a fan of Toto

Would there be any new band that would complement Journey well ??

Who cares?
More to the point who actually remembers?
Toto with Bobby Kimball may have swept the Grammys in 1982, but all that industry goodwill and nation wide recognition went straight out the window the instant they started playing musical chairs with their lead vocalists.
In a sense, the slate was wiped clean.
Every subsequent Toto incarnation has had to re-prove their mettle.
Bobby Kimball has echoed similar sentiments.

It's like Journey without Steve Perry.
Oh sure, industry peers and us hardcore fans may know the band members still posses the right stuff, but to casual audiences their ears are now largely closed.

WARNING: the above poster knows jack shit about the band, Toto. The preceeding is likely riddled with factual and historical inaccuracies, half truths and distortions.

I just saw Toto on 11/10. They were AWESOME. Lukather was more than worth the price of admission. He still sings live & his voice is 100% perfect. Very very impressive.

All the way to that keyboard player singing "Africa". That hurt. I REALLY missed David Paich. And yes, Deano is right. Bobby lips for at least 3 songs. Of that, I'm positive. "Africa" is one of them, for sure. He does still sing "Hold The Line" live & kicks ass. Why he lips the other songs is beyond me. His voice is just fine. But he does lip! Maybe just the real high songs? Maybe to save his voice? I dunno.

Speaking about drinking, Bobby drinks more freaking water than he sings! It's wild. He has to keep running offstage, presumably to pee.

Journey needs to tour "Old School" meaning:
Take a new or up-and-coming band on the road with them, give them 45 minutes and then
give themselves 90-120 minutes a night.
Fuck all that Double_Bill shit with other nostalgia acts!
That ain't moving forward.
If they do that then it's DD all the way
and that gets pretty fucking boring for ALL of us.

Take a young band out that will bring some of it's own fans
thru the turnstiles...
I think some cool bands that would make good openers
'right now' are bands like Hinder, the All American Rejects...

I don't know any of the new bands but I think your idea is right. If Journey doesn't promote itself as "the star of the show" who else is going to?
