That is why they HAVE to make the name change. They could be a force today with the current lineup. The name is killing them.

The name is the most important thing they have.

Ok, lets drop the name Journey. Oh wait, they did that already!
it was called Soul Sirkus.
Great record, now what did it sell again?
How many people showed at the concerts?

I rest my case.

Did they give Soul Sirkus and honest effort?????

When performing live did they.... mix in Journey songs??, how bout Bad English songs??, Talisman songs???, Were Jonathan & Ross aboard???

Bottom line, it was a side project that was treated EXACTLY as such.

What if it was a MAIN FOCUS project??????

They are hiding behind the Journey name. The fact is the industry will ONLY recognize Journey if Steve Perry is in it.

Otherwise it's Butts & Gutts or 2,500 max.

The Journey name is killing what could be ANOTHER super group.

Can you say Velvet Revolver?????????

I didn't know "Velvet Revolver" was a 50 something age melodicrock AOR band?

Your analogies are pointless.

Wow I didn't know Velvet Revolver was still hugely popular. They were a flah in the pan, just like most current bands out their today despite being a "Supergroup" as you say. And, as a headliner, they did not play any bigger venues than Journey.

By the way, I thought you were done with this topic.

For Yogi, I have come up with an idea. The name "Journey" will now be dropped.

The new band name will be "The Tragic Hip Replacement" and the new album will be called (of course):

"Don't Fracture the Stone"

The 2nd album will be "I've fallen and I can't get up".

Followed with the EP "Do you feel like part of the band?"

Thats a big NO. If they did though they might get away with it because a lot of fans havent heard any of Journey's new music Since ARRIVAL . Fans would probably think it was a Augeri era song.

There's a huge difference in SS and Augeri era music.
