As with everything Journey, no one knows, more importantly, who cares? They've become a buzz kill. They're credibility is zero. They have, as of now, no direction. JSS, in my opinion, is the only "straight shooter" they have. Tapegate proved that. Unfortunately, I doubt he'll ever be rewarded for living out his dream. He's an "end" to a "means." A fill in before the Perry comeback, or more probably, the next "catalog" singer. Without a regime change, they remain doomed to their past. Their management is satisfied just making money off of "faithful" fans. Again, we get fucked. Hell, I'm used to it. See "Red 13" and "Generations." 2 great examples of a band coming apart at the seams. Shit music by a once great band. Perry has to have a "six pack" with all the laughing he's been doing. It's no wonder he lost all that weight.[/quote]

St. John, Precisely!!!! this took balls to write this imo. I agree with you 99.9% here. Journey is starting to look stupid, very stupid. JSS has done everything he could to take the bull by the horns, he must be completely frustrated at this point too. I hope the money is good, very good.$$$ Hold out Jeff !!

I still think people are reading too much into that stuff. It could be something as simple as a hint of a new album from Lepp and they want to confirm the info before it's posted.

I dont know nor do I really care. It'll get posted when the time is right. ;)

Within a week, guaranteed.

That's what you said last week....

Keep going, you'll eventually get it right, I suppose.

Thought "Faith in the Heartland" one of the best tracks JRNY done in recent times - certainly better than the majoirty of TBF. But everyone's entitled to their opinions.

Think there's more chance of George Bush getting a decision right for a change than Steve Perry coming back. He'd never be able to keep up with the demands of touring at his age. Not too difficult for a guitarist or bassist for a singer of JRNY song you need to be a bit younger than Steve P. In my opinion.

Yep, lol. I meant to ask you, did you see the part Gordon put in there about Neal's SSB? Something like "why do it in 2 notes when you can do it in 200!".....hell yeah 8) lol

That is, unless the topic at hand happens to be one hundred and one different ways to stanch anal hemoraging.

Andrew has had to change the publication date of his Journey feature several times now.

I agree with what someone said above about JSS wanting to take the bull by the horns, but he is unable to because of everyone around him.

Journey is such a mess right now, and their credibility is almost gone with me.

I am in the vast minority that says "Hang it up, guys". How much more humiliation do they want to heap upon themselves because of drama, legalities, and cover-ups? Starting with Rollie's departure, this band has had more cover-ups than the JFK/Marily Monroe relationship. Rollie, Perry, Smith, Valory, Augeri... The truth will never be known.

Come the think of it, though, only a small handful of us even care enough about the inner workings to know as much as we do. The rest just want to go to concerts and have a good time. Ignorance is bliss, no?

The problem now is that even people like us don't seem to care anymore, myself included. I will read the interviews if they ever come out, but I no longer sit on pins and needles hoping they come to light. I don't think they ever will, even though tapegate is not addressed (the only reason I WAS anxious to read the piece).

I still like this place and enjoy reading everyone's post, but I am through with modern Journey for now. That is a bummer, too, because I had such high hopes with Soto on board. Unfortunately, he is being stiffled by the same machine that silenced everyone else... Well, maybe not - I don't think Perry has a gag order against Augeri. However, someone, somewhere in the organization sure did learn a lot from The Voice

I hope they prove me wrong.

I'm sure it will be nice to have this load off your back, Andrew. From what I've gathered, it's not going to answer all the questions. But, hey.. you've done your part! Hopefully the future is bright once again for Journey.

Unfortunately, it seems Journey Road is often a bumpy road for everyone.

Thanks in advance for the interviews, bro.

Ohh! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, too!

I reckon it could happen today. Remember the official site needs to say it first, and they are in an earlier time zone than us and about a day earlier than Drew. So I'm still watching this space :)

Er... actually, it's the other way around. Andrew in Oz is around 10 hours ahead of the UK, and we are 5 hours ahead of the east coast of US and 8 hours ahead of the west coast. That's why the last time there was an official announcement Andrew got it out first - he was nearly a day ahead of the States.

Hard to argue with this. Jeff does seem like a straight shooter and a great guy. I'm beginning to feel the 'who cares' attitude with this band and that's tough for me cuz I'm a HUGE Journey fan. I get tired of feeling bent over by the band - Warfield and Dallas dvd's never coming to fruition, the disaster and lack of honest effort that was 'Generations'. Jeff injected the band with a sense of vitality and energy and, in doing so, he did the same for me. Now we are back to what Journey has become - shrouded in mystery, completely unattached to the loyal fan base, and dickless to accept individual responsibility for the SA fiasco that they were all certainly aware of. Be straight with your fans Journey and that will create more loyalty than the hiding, delaying, and broken promises that have been shoved in our rear ends.
