Next - an album, TV appearances, whatever - u name it, they will piss all over it.

Tis true. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing Journey again on a TV screen near you.......

Andrew wrote:Hi folks,

Just wanted to post a stand-alone message of thanks for all the great feedback, comments, e-mail and general all round appreciation for the feature and for the interviews.

THe positive feedback really does spur me on to do bigger and better again and it keeps the passion burning.

I won't let the negative attitude of another forum affect my thinking at all - I think the most balanced view of the Journey fanbase can be seen here. That includes a few negative comments here about the interviews, which I am more than happy to accept when (in these few instances) are explained resonably.

Personally I feel there is a lot to look forward to in Journey and when speaking to JSS yesterday, I know he is 'frothing at the mouth' to get going.

Thanks again for the feedback (good or bad) and Merry Christmas to all :D

Fantastic piece Andrew!!! And Merry Christmas to you down under!! enjoy your break and we look forward to great news from our favorite bands in 07..

Andrew, your piece was great.

It's unrealistic for people to think you would bring up the lip-synching and the band would address this.

What I find interesting is some people now see Deen as the devil, when it was Deen who was constantly stepping up to save Augeri's ass. Especially Steve's last night; putting Deen on the spot like that was a horrible thing to do.

Looking forward to a new chapter in the Journey saga, sounds like some great things are in store for the fans.

Seriously? I haven't heard that one. How could anyone blame Deen for anything? Where is that coming from?

Check Jackass Talk! The venom they are spewing about Deen is actually quite sad. They're calling the guy a backstabber. I even saw one of the Augeri crotch sniffers take it as a personal affront that Deen had called the fan out that had accused him of lip syncing to Open Arms. This wiggle wack job actually thought it was a shot at Augeri that Deen dared use the phrase "lip syncing" in a sentence (of course, conveniently forgetting that it was the dopey fan who brought this up as an issue, and not Deen)!

I don't get these so-called Augeri fans. I thought their whole premise was the whole Augeri lip syncing thing was just made up and had no basis in fact??? Now they're mad that something that never happened is being used by a fellow band member to take a shot at a guy who never did anything, such as lip syncing. Well, that's Jackass Talk for ya! I suspected a lot of the so-called Journey fans over there would disappear as soon as it was announced that Augeri was out of Journey. As a lifelong Journey fan, I think Journey's "official" website would be served quite well by all of these Augeri worshippers disappearing, permanently! They never brought anything of substance to any discussion, so perhaps some new fans can be added to the mix, who might actually want to talk about topics, other than red leather pants and wiggles!

You've gotta be kidding me! The guy is an absolute sweetie, I hope he doesn't read any of that shit. How can you twist what Deen said into an insult towards Augueri........Deen even said he's 'his brother'. Some people just amaze the hell out of me........

I have to agree w/Behshad. The most exciting part of ur interviews is they are so real & down to earth. The reader feels like they are right there w/u Andrew. I felt ur excitement & also the comfortable way u interview. It's not formal dribble drabble, it's comfy, cosy, & warm. U have a knack of bringing us close the band, letting us feel like we know them a little bit. That makes it amazing to me.

I also loved ur Tour Diary. That helped me feel some of ur excitement along the way & it was just awesome.

Merry merry Christmas to u & the family Andrew. U are such a wonderful guy. U are extremely fair on this forum & very very good to us. I love ur sense of humor too. Have a great vacation w/the family.

Andrew,

Thankyou. You do a GREAT job with this website.

I have ALOT of fun here.

The Journey interviews were excellent!!

I also believe that you have really helped launch the career of one Jeff Scott Soto. He IS a super talent. You should be congratulated for recognizing this. Damn if he doesnt owe you a few beers.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and your family.

The ABSOLUTE BEST to you,

Can you believe such crap as that? Deen's the last person they should be down on. If it wasn't for him helping Augeri out(and that's putting it mildly) for so long he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did.

Thanks for clarifying John. I should have known. I made the mistake of going over there to see how the news and interviews were being taken earlier today, but couldn't take it for long enough to read much. :?

That's the feeling I got right away. It was as if they were just a group of old friends having a good chat about stuff. Way cool. 8)

Andrew- Great interviews. My 72 yr old sister in law( She looks 60 and acts 50) was over today and read them too. I showed her some on Jeff's songs and she will go to the next Journey concert. The last she saw was ROR & '94 Perry. She is excited. When will they tour the US again? I told her that I thought 2008.

John, I'm gonna make you a tiny pair of red leather pants to hang on your Christmas tree - I know how ya love 'em so much.

Yeah, I read some of the posts over there and it is pretty crazy - so stupid to bring up Deen's words and misconstrue them - sheesh, poor guy (although, I do wonder why that couple at the concert chose Deen & didn't accuse SA to his face of lip synching...what would HE have done?)...anyway, they are even ripping the "Press Release" as being written wrong!

I'll only take a pair of the red leathers if they work well as kindling for my fireplace  On another note, I feel somewhat badly for Steve Augeri, as it's never a good thing to lose your job. That said, I don't feel even a tiny bit bad for his obnoxius fans. Most of them were Perry bashers, so I say FUCK 'EM!

Well, well, well Granny........looks like ya got yourself some competition there.  Jeff's pulling them in from all ages (from 16 to 72).......my 16 year old daughter thinks he's kinda hawt. LOL, if the 'Gods' is playing, she'll starting singing along to Stand Up and Shout.

The same couple DID accuse Augeri and made the same gesture towards him. Rumor has it though that he didnt even try to prove them wrong. Instead he went Image and pointed to Image
