This is dissappointing. I would go if it were a real rock concert setting. This sounds way too corporate. No way I'm logging all those miles and having to put on a tux. :(

Just got the (excellent BTW) new Departure the other day flipping through the booklet Cyndy worked on and there's a memorablilia piece in there about the band doing a black tie event in SF on the Departure tour, struck me as pretty cool.

Oh I have no problem that they are doing it. It just means the show doesn't work for me. My wife won't be able to go now. 9 month old at home and she will not be into spending $300 on 2 tix, plus almost the same amount on clothing rentals. This isn't including travel and hotel.

I could do it myself, but it would be weird getting dressed up like that and going stag without her.

So you're saying that my psychic preview was wrong?

that was my first journey concert! i was 15 years old & sooo excited that my uncle jerry bought us 3rd row center tix for this 1000 seat venue. tix were $50 each, which seemed extravagantly high at the time. it was a benefit to restore the palace of fine arts. i remember everyone was very elegantly dressed, drinking wine & nibbling on cheese in the lobby. i wonder if a bootleg exists of this show.

btw, don't call it frisco. :x

Were the band members in tuxedos, Cyndy? I think it sounds pretty neat - whoever goes should take pics.

Nice :D ....
Very cool you were there.
Hey, I think I'll go edit the "'Frisco" part out to something tougher. More masculine. That made me sound kinda foppish. Not a good way to roll around these parts. :)

Plus, it is very hard to find women's formal attire to match this.

no, other than steve in his white tails, the band wasn't in tuxedos at the SF benefit. would be cool to see the guys all dressed up for the new orleans show.

Thanks, Cyndy...I know a lot of people cringe at the "Chain Reaction" video but I think they look very nice in the tuxs.

And, pics of the parade somebody...didn't I read Journey is gonna be in a parade there?
