LEPPARD/JOURNEY TOUR AMONG MOST SUCCESSFUL OF 2006

Postby Cheri » Thu Jan 04, 2007 7:26 am

The 74-date Def Leppard/Journey collaboration tour, taking place between June and November of last year, ended up number 14 in the list of most successful concert tours of 2006, revealed last week in Pollstar Magazine. The list is topped by the Rolling Stones, followed by Barbra Streisand, Tim McGraw/Faith Hill and Madonna.

Pollstar noted: "As usual, there was not much fresh blood among the top touring acts, many of whom have been around since the 1970s and 1980s. Other veterans included Elton John at No. 10, Billy Joel at No. 11, the Def Leppard and Journey double-header at No. 14, Aerosmith and Motley Crue at No. 18, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young at No. 20."

This was taken from the Def Leppard website.
