AlienC wrote:And yet you can still exaggerate and distort to obscure the original intent?
You implied Augeri didn’t know what was coming thru to the FOH.
My posts stemmed from that bone of contention.
I didn’t put words in your mouth or distort anything you said.

Now that Fred & Monker are on self-imposed exiles (Oh, thank you, thank you, Jesus), you remain the hammiest old queen waltzing around this place. Bar none.
When it comes to your posts, I don’t know if I’m reading a message board or the collected works of Oscar Wilde.
From what I hear, you actually got fired because Neal grew tired of you trying to touch his dick.
AlienC wrote:Also, re-read Andrew's post about the personal attacks. If you want to talk about what happened fine, if you want to bring me into the conversation on a personal level, we're done.
Things turned personal after I paid you an owed debt of respect and you flippantly told me I was biased, willfully taking things out of context, among other mischaracterizations.
You’re a world class prick and I’m willing to wager the reason Andrew hasn’t stepped in to referee yet is because he relishes seeing you get your just desserts.
…do the board a favor and quit with the personal affronts.
Andrew has asked for topical discussion and personal attacks are to stop
Your professed love for rubbing your nose in $hit, and your uncanny trait of defying all known rules of human anatomy and nimbly licking your own balls should, by all rights, be would-be strikes against my favor.
However, if there’s one dog in this race Andrew is rooting for, somehow I’ve got the distinct feeling it sure as hell ain't you. Call me crazy.
AlienC wrote: Secondly, These are ENTERTAINERS you're talking about. Don't like what they "represent" ?
DON'T gO 2 da SHO! Vote like any other consumer , with your wallet
Does the self-evident here really need pointing out?
The paying concertgoers by and large DON’T KNOW they are being defrauded.
How can they possibly take a stand when they haven’t the foggiest idea they are being ripped off?
They are not putting in substandard ceiling panels in a multi billion dollar tunnel project, they are not selling their vote on the senate floor to defense contractors, they aren't re-engineering blueprints on the job site, they're simply trying to give the audience what they want .... and continue to say they want .... a memorable performance.
- Engineers building over faulty infrastructure are derelict in their duties.
- Politicians caving in to lobbyists fall short of the office they were sworn to keep.
And, yes, the members of Journey fail in their less-pivotal roles as musicians each time they resort to cheating.
These occupations vary in importance, but none are guilty while others are not. Stop with the moral relativism. Just because Journey doesn’t possess the power to bring about peace in the Middle East, doesn’t mean they should get a pass.
Like the old days.... It's a show. A disconnect from reality.
Back in the “old days”, a Journey show lived and died by the show-stopping vocal acrobatics and on-stage dominion of Steve Perry. There were no lead vocal tapes. The people got what they paid for.
As if it was required, the proof could be seen in the sweat diffused all over the stage.
BTW, none of the original instruments are being used in the performance of these songs, does that make a difference and if not why not?
Easily the most frangible argument put forth yet by the shameless Augeri absolvers.
What matters is, the instruments are being played and being played live.
“Live”, y’know? -what the masses got off work early and plunked down hard-earned bread to come go see?
If you are really submitting that as a legitimate argument, not only are u a cardboard-eating, rail-riding hobo, you are the sorriest son of a bitch to ever gain access to a computer terminal.
Being deprived of a source of income for so long that your blood type is now Spaghettio should have taught you to value a dollar more.
AlienC wrote:That's a pretty bold statement. "Every Night", and "In prior tours", I didn't know you were on the crew, or is this more hear-say? Care to back up that up with something other than your own disgruntlement ?
After the first week of shows this is accurate.
If you knew half as much as you claim to, or were half as connected as you wish you were, this wouldn’t even be up for debate.
What I bolded is based on knowing what one can hear when wearing in ear monitors in front of an amplified band. Care to trade experiences? You go first.
You’re not the only guy with connections, dude.
Maybe if you didn’t burn bridges the way an untended hot plate burns down low income housing, you would still be in the know.
As it is, the only official capacity you can now comment from is being Deputy Mayor of Shanty Town.
Well, given that I haven't seen the shows in question, I cannot comment on what I did not see or hear.
Than why are you making dogmatic statements about what Augeri did or did not know?
I think this much is obvious: you are using your one-time employment with Journey as sweeping cover to vent your frustrations about Neal and about getting canned.
What I'm hostile about is your assumption you can be familiar with me. You don't know me, and you've never been so civil as to introduce yourself, yet you'll use my given name as if we're friends. I don't fucking know you.
I’m just a guy that found your informative posts one of the scant redeeming traits of BT – no more, no less.
As for knowing your name, well, maybe next time, think twice before using your role in Journey corp. as a dais from which to speak from. If I’m not mistaken, you even used your name openly on the web. Even signing your last BT post “Allen doesn’t work here anymore”.
Want to protect your privacy?
Stop making a spectacle of yourself, putz.
….knowing what was actually discussed and available by the group, is quite a depth and breadth of knowledge that you can only match with conjecture, flights of fanciful rage, and character assassination.
Or more simply.... what I know trumps whatever you can make up or think you "know".
Whoa, whoa.. just a second ago you were championing the right of personal privacy and now you’re browbeating me into divulging what I know, or more pointedly, who my sources are?
I think such an act of nearsighted hypocrisy calls for only one response: get bent.
There are people here that don’t rely on memories alone to inform them about Journey today. You are a wistful old fool and the sun set on you long ago. I’m thru listening to you wax nostalgically about yesteryear. I advise everyone who values the truth about TapeGate to do precisely the same.
Well, I got news for ya, there's been little , if any, repercussions so far from that little debacle within the industry. So that means only a VERY SMALL number of people even know this occured.
The news traveled far and wide in the industry. At the height of TapeGate mania, Steve Lukather even began riffing on it at shows. At one Toto concert, while discussing the logistics of pulling off their live shows, Lukather cracked “Actually, we just play to a bunch of tapes – just kidding”
Go stand around a burning trash can and freeze to death.
