Neal Schon-Jack Blades

Haven't seen this mentioned before on the board...

Just got Jack Blades' self-titled CD (2004 release). Neal Schon has co-writing credits on three tracks:
Sea of Emotions
Alone Tonight
To Touch The Sky

Neal also plays guitar on Sea of Emotions and To Touch The Sky.

Anyone else ever give these a listen?

I am wondering if they are tracks that didn't make it to Arrival, as the two did some writing together, most notably producing Higher Place. Anyone know if this is the case?

I gave it a couple of listens and it was pretty bad front to back. Very mediocre record.

I've heard Sea of Emotions and think it's a great song and should have been on ARRIVAL instead of All the Way... :?

Sea of Emotions was a cut off of Arrival. Kevin Shirley said something to the extent of it was cheesey...like the Scorpions.

I love it. I like all 3 tracks Schon is on, the rest suck.

To hear more Arrival cuts, give Mickey Thomas' Over the Edge a listen. There are 3-4 Journey tunes on there. There is also an Arrival cut on one of Cain's CD's...I think his greatest hits?

I happened to like the Jack Blades solo album a lot, one of better albums released in the past few years. Mickey Thomas's cd is pretty good as well.

The two songs that Neal are on are great, as is pretty much rest of the cd. The song he does with Shaw is up there too. Couple songs are out of character for Blades, but over all a good cd.-ERIC

I own this album. Neals tracks are good as are some of the other ones. There's one or two I don't care for, but generally, it's a good album.
