Ok Journey! Sammy's doing it! Your Turn!

Postby Carlitto H@kk » Thu Feb 22, 2007 2:45 am

Sammy Hagar has posted the following message on his official web site:

"Hey, Redheads! Headed home to Fontana for a big NASCAR weekend and in between plates of my Mom's Italian home cooking I'll be down at California Speedway on Thursday, February 22nd playing for the Fontana Racefest Fanzone which is an outta sight afternoon and evening of checking out cars and drivers with my show and a big fireworks display to cap it off. I also get to be the Grand Marshall on Saturday for the Stater Bros 300 and who knows maybe they'll let me drive the pace car! (They might not be able to keep up with me if they do.). Last of all, I'm going to play in front of the grandstand on Sunday for the Autoclub 500 and if you can't make it down be sure to tune into FOX at noon Pacific time for the pre-race festivities and you'll be sure to see me there. This is going to be a great weekend and these guys will NOT be driving 55! See you on the track!"

Dean and I have been preaching this since last year!
THIS is something Journey needs to do and soon!

Hell, The Vegas Weekend in March would be perfect :(
Too bad thier in the fucking UK at the time!

But seriously, the guys really need to look into this.
Anyone catch Clarkson at Daytona? The girl wants to rock.
I just ficking love her to death

PS Kurt Busch and all his fans can kiss my ass!
Fuckin' punk and his rookie-like driving skills
took Stewart out. What a bitch

Whoa, thanks for the heads-up on this. NASCAR and Sammy - can't go wrong there! I hope they broadcast a lot of his performance.

I agree about Kurt Busch ~ he's just an all around jerk in my opinion. I was really hoping that Mark Martin would win this year ~ maybe I'm just sentimental.

It really was a shame about Tony but he handled it very graciously. The guy has done a 360 behaviour-wise in the past year or so.

After Tony got robbed, I too was gunning for Martin. Total Class Act!
The man is a legend. But Harvick did what he had to do.
You know, in the back of his mind, he knew how great for the sport it would've
been if Martin took home that trophy. But he also knew he would've had to
answer to Childress if he would've backed off and they were on rocky terms last year.

It's early...
Wait til about week 9 or 10

BTW, wouldn't this be a great "Punch In The Mouth" to EVH
if Mad Mike joined Sammy on stage for the Sunday Fox broadcast
and they closed thier set with a DLR-era song?
That would be priceless!

Mark Martin is just a down-home Arkansas boy that grew up on the local dirt track circuit. He's pretty much treated as royalty in many circles. But I hear he's quite accessible during the offseason, and, many times throughout the year too when he's home in Batesville. I'm not necessarily a NASCAR fan, but I do have a lot of respect and appreciation for Mark Martin.

True, I have so much respect for Mark. A true gentleman in every sense of the word. A lot of these young drivers (ahem - Kyle Busch) could learn so much from watching how he handles himself.

It would be un-freakin'-believable! Could you imagine EVH's reaction? LOL!

And when the song is over, Sammy holds up a bottle of Cabo and MA holds up a bottle of his hot sauce!

Part of me wants to say Fat Tony wasn't robbed, but he had the best car by far. I don't like him...at all, and I hate the Home Depot...hate their orange asses.....Robbed is what happened to Jimmie Johnson last year at Kansas when his OWN teammate wrecked him on the last lap as he was goping to pass Earnhardt Jr. Ok, Tony was robbed. I too hate Busch...Kurt that is.

This week, Johnson is the clear favourite along with Kyle Busch and Sniffle. Tony runs bad in California. We shall see.

Mark Martin. O yeah. Total class. I am glad he is in a Chevy now. Those Fords are junk.

Dude, that was 'Dega when Jimmie got taken out by Vickers. My nieghbors, BIG Jr fans, were there and, aside form being completely in shock, they were actually scared because of how all the spectators were acting. Tyler got hit in the shoulder by a flying bottle and his wife had beer spilled all over er from a flying cup :)

Yea, My Fat Basterd runs bad at Fontanna but he's hungry this year (no pun intended) so I think he may surprise me.
I'm tellin' ya, though...
Fuckin' Childress is dialed in right now. They're starting off from last year and those teams are gonna be strong all year.
