If VH is doing this for publicity thats a bad move. They could find something a lot better to do for publicity. Why no press confrence? Talk show appearances with a performance so everyone can hear how Wolfie sounds? Why not perform on SNL or something? This band needs some positive publicity.

Andrew has stated numerous times that getting Mikey back is not an option at this point, so I believe him. Mikey has probably washed his hands of this whole fiasco, and who can blame him after the hell that he and Sammy went through on the 2004 Van Halen Tour?

It's obvious to me that the players involved (Ed, Alex, Wolfie, and Dave) want the 2007 tour to go forward - but there are obstacles in the way. My guess is that the main obstacle is Eddie's state of mind, but I won't go into detail on that one.

I'm wondering if these guys will be able to get any tour promoters to roll the dice on this huge gamble of a tour? This could very well be the big hurdle that is in the way of moving this thing forward. Put it this way - would you gamble millions of dollars on a tour with Eddie Van Halen at the helm right now? I sure wouldn't, especially not based on what has happened with him and David Lee Roth in the past.

If this thing ever gets off the ground, I will be very surprised.

What WOULD make me happy is to see Eddie get some badly needed help. If he got that, he could pull off what he is attempting to do. Without it, I don't see it happening.

For the record, I own all of Van Halen's CD's from DLR through Sammy. I am far from being anti-Van-Halen. But after seeing Eddie wreck the 2004 Van Halen tour that I paid $125.00 each for tickets for my wife and I to witness, I know that if that's what happened with Sammy onboard - it's going to be even worse three years later with DLR onboard.
