"Faithfully" ~ Live, 1983...

I'm sitting here, crying, right now...and I don't care....

We (TRAG) had a rehearsal today....I was not feeling well; had a weekend from HELL...but "soldiered on", anyway...

THAT VIDEO is, in part, the reason why I chose to do this....1983 "Frontiers"...

Thanx, guys, for the inspiration to follow my crazy dreams....no matter HOW LONG they took to come true.... 8)

That was a great vid Nora, thanks for that!......it reminds me too of that tour, I got to see them Friday and Sunday in 1983, and even though I went with 6 friends the first night and 2 girls the second night, all I could concetrate on was the band and Perry, they were at thier peak then and I knew it was very special....

I saw that show in Dallas, was really good. I look at that and realize that I appreciate it more now than I did then, and I appreciated it a hell of a lot then. I was kind of blown away with JC on that video, playing both parts of the piano with one hand and the trumpets with the other. That's also very impressive.

Thanks for posting that Nora.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

So very, very true! Watching the Journey footage now after 20-25 years, you realize just how damn good they were! Even my brother, who totally made fun of them back then........after watching parts of the Houston dvd, was very impressed.

Thanks Nora. :D

I've got this show on VHS and I think this is my favorite live performance of Faithfully, other than the Ohio '86 one of course. :) (I only wish I had that one on VHS :()

I have a feeling the "go round and round" would be easier to sing than trying to pronounce the "going around".......but what do I know. Nora or Jeremy?????

Well, from my own preference, as a Singer...

You want your words to stay as "open" as possible...so, the "go round and round" is easier to sing...."wheels going round" - you'd have to "close" the pronounciation, only to "open it" back up again, immediately.

Nora - first, thanks for posting this. Awesome video - got me boohooing, too. It amazes me that even after all of these years, that song can still do that. Second, thanks for the info on how singers look at things. Very interesting!

I was impressed, too, w/Jon's playing (of course, I have been forever anyway!). I can barely walk and chew bubble gum let alone handle all those notes!!

I just had a vision of you singing with that flannel cap with ear flaps on it. LOL! Maybe you could do a specialty act - Elmer Fudd does the Journey Classics??

Wow Nora, thank you for sharing. Monday morning and I'm crying at work watching... such magic! It's been a while since I've seen this and I am so glad you posted the link. It's going to be hard getting back to what I'm supposed to be doing now though!

What a performance! What a voice! What a guy!

Thanks again,
Kim
