Deano,

You have to admit that even though Elliot's voice is not what it used to be, they still put on a good show. As for REO being gay...I couldn't disagree more! I have seen them 6 times or so, even as late as last summer...and they put on one hell of a show. That being said, here are my top 4 in order:

Journey
Def Leppard
REO
Styx

I don't think REO have jumped the shark to gaydome, but they "strapped on" the ski's when they got rid of Gary Richrath!

Dude, seriously. B Adams blows Lippard, Styx and REO away. You have got to have something against Canadians.

I put Journey in, then Adams, Boston, and Twigs.

Screw Def Lippard. Once you LIP, you don't get dick, unless you're Journey and in that case your band is so fucking talented you get a pass. REO is better than DL, and I don't care what you say Soto.

And as for the whole "Gay Speedwagon" thing, in their 70's heyday, the greatness of that band cannot be denied! Pure, ass kicking midwestern Rock and Roll. Gary Richrath was a friggin monster! Really, all the way up until they crashed and burned with HIGH INFIDELITY, and they started going soft...but my God, did they EVER do anything as shitty as "Have you ever really loved a woman"? I think not...

No doubt Ricrath was awesome...but Dave Amato isn't too bad. He has some pretty good vocals as well. I guess I have just been impressed with the energy they still seem to have on stage.

No doubt Survivor rocks. I guess I give REO and Leppard both high marks for keeping a large core of the band together over the years. You may not like Leppard, but they have been loyal as hell to each other, and that says something about them.

If you don't like ballads, then I wouldn't recommend it. They actually performed some of the new songs last year in concert and most of them were ok.

I love Bryan Adams, but he should be shot and hung for even thinking about writing anything as sad as Have You Ever and I Wanna Be Your Underwear. Clearly substance abuse kicked in after the brilliant Into The Fire, Reckless and everything prior to that....

No doubt. I don't think they've recorded a good song in 20 years. And once again...NO RICHRATH...so I really have no use for them of late...I just really dig their 70's output...

I also really like Bryan Adams, and I think he would make it in fairly early, once you start inducting 80's artists. I loved his first two albums...LONELY NIGHTS is still one of my favorite tunes from that era. But BOY OH BOY does his 90's catalogue suck...

Dude, check yourself.

Straight From the Heart, Reckless, Into the Fire and Waking up the Neighbours are all solid classic jewels. 18 til I die was great. And, you fucker, I told you this too, last year, Room Service should have been Melodic rock CD of the year...Nothing was close to it. And if you so much as try to tell me that fuckin Toto album was better than you are a dickweed.

Here's a link to a page with her lyrics. Show me where I'm missing her song writing skills because I see NONE whatsoever. Some of the lyrics are downright embarrassing.

And some of Journey's aren't? Dude, tread lightly here. I can light you up like the Iraqi skyline.

I'll show you AT LEAST 3-5 song writing gems off of every Perry-era album (props to Cain and Schon too). Show me 3 off of ANY Twain album. She's nothing more than a fuckin' Canadian hillbilly. A "Canabilly", if you will.

Just call me Dickweed then old mucker. Yeah, Room Service was better, but BA has grown old, lazy and comfortable. 19 Til I Die was average too.

Reckless, YWIYGI, Into The Fire, WUTN, BA and Cuts Like A Knife ALL classics.....brilliant. Live Live Live also one of the best live albums ever.
