What the...???

Am I in the twilight zone, or does everyone know about this? Short clip, but I guess I am shocked because of how reclusive Perry was after 83...

I LOVE that song! Did you know that SP, America and Bill Mumy (the kid from the 60s t.v. show, "Lost in Space") wrote it?

Yes, Larry, I like "Fish Heads", and yes, Billy Mumy did write that song with a good friend, who is also the other "Barnes" in "Barnes and Barnes". Billy Mumy has put out quite a few albums under the "B&B" name. Google "Barnes and Barnes".......... :D

Bill Mumy (I was gonna shorten it to his intials :D) wrote a lot with America. He has written a lot of songs period & also has written comic books & novels, too (if I remember correctly).
I think this song, "Can't fall asleep to a lullaby" came about when SP & Dewey (America) ran into each other at the Home Depot & decided to write together. This is when we need Lora & Cyndy to verify that. :)

Yeah, he looks like he's having the time of his life in that short vid, huh?

I like to think that after all the "workhorse tours" he did, he can just relax, sing backing vox, and SMILE, for God's sake ~ y'know??

Sister Golden Hair will always be a favorite song of mine.

Takes me back to my young days in the 70s :) . Man, times seemed simpler back then. No computers, no cable t.v., no video games.

Just skateboards, pickup football games, playing army in the woods, and running from Bigfoot when we heard a noise at night  . Oh, and watching out for UFOs, too.

That's what Steve said,it's true. :) Both of them were living in Marin County back then and met at HD.

Highway Highlight (from the box set booklet)
The band liked "(Can't Fall Asleep To A) Lullaby" better. This sultry, midtempo number was a collaboration among Bunnell, Mumy, Haimer, and Journey lead singer Steve Perry. "Steve and I both lived in Marin County, and I think I ran into him at a Home Depot-type store," Bunnell says. "We became friendly and wrote a few things together. I started this song with Steve, and then he came down to L.A. to help finish the song."

can you believe that my girls still do that now. and get this, my neighbors and me and my husband actually get together 2-3 times a week and talk. we just walk over to each others yards and chit chat. we all have gardens etc. yea, sounds a little like stepford wives.
