How big are you guys into "gadgets". Bought any cool stuff recently that you'd like to share with the rest of uf!?

I recently purchased a NOKIA N95 and I am still amazed of all the things this phone can do!
Its not a PDA/Blackberry.Its just a "normal-lookin" phone, but inside of it is full of goodies!

Here's some of the things I enjoy about this phone:

.MP3 player with full support for all major audio files out there
.Internet access with full webbrowser, allowing to connect online through your provider or any hotspot wifi.
.Built-in GPS with maps/navigation!
.Stereo FM Radio plus VISUAL RADIO.
.5(!) Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Optics. Amazing photo/video quality
.Play video, music and photos on home media network - compatible TV, stereo and PC over WLAN/UPnP
.VOIP phone calles possible through Gizmo
.1 GB memory(expandable up to 4 GB)
.mpg4/real video player. support for downloding and "shrinking" a full dvd to 200MB and watchin it on your phone.

And in addition to all that , you can also use it to make your regular phone calls!!! Only downfall is how fast you run out of battery if you keep using the different applications!

Some pic's for those who are interested:

You guys be way so cool but I just don't get it.

To me the whole gadgets and gingwings of this century
leave me with bad thoughts........
Hubby has a TV/VCR remote that has a kah-ton of buttons that
I can figure out but he can't, leaves the thing on and falls asleep
with it in his hand, when I awake him and ask him to turn it off
he can't manage to do this even after sitting up and taking a sip of water.
I then relieve him of his duties and tuck his ass into slumber.

i LOVE my treo 650. with it, i am never bored or unproductive. a full qwerty keyboard is essential for me, especially for emailing while driving. i would have already upgraded to a treo 680, if it weren't for the upcoming iPhone. MUST…GET…iPHONE!

OMG. Me too.

I even got the DIY cut-and-fold paper iPhone just to have in the meantime.

I was originally thinking about IPHONE, but Nokia N95 blows IPHONE away! Just compare all that you can do on IPHONE and you will see that you can do that all on N95 and then some! 8)

Great thread, please enlighten me as I am getting ready to upgrade to one of these gadgets and have no clue as to which one to purchase. I am considering the Treo.

Any suggestions? 8)

The thing is, I use Macs at home and for work so it syncs up easily, and all my music, videos, TV shows, radio stations are in itunes.

Plus the screen is nicer on the iPhone.

it depends on what you need it to do. email? web surfing? do you need certain apps like excel & word? what computer platform do you use - pc, mac? do you want a qwerty keyboard or are you ok with a regular phone keypad? maybe we can help you narrow down the choices.

You actually expect me to think??? :P

I need something that will cook, clean, travel, read directions, manage, do bookings, contracts and SLEEP for me!!! LOL

Seriously, the Treo is probably my best choice at this point.

Cyndy, you can enlighten me next week at the party! Can't wait to see you again.

Thats what you think my friend. Once the Iphone is out, compare it to the N95. You'll be amazed at the high-res screen of N95. :)

I use a Mac and a PC at work, and a PC at home. Just ordered a new iMac, should get here next week. Looking forward to that!

I don't like phones that email, take pictures, surf the web, show movies, etc. I like my phone to be a phone, and my computer to be a computer, and my television to be a television.

Luck has nothing to do with it.

As far as screens;

N95: 2.6" 240x320 pixels

iPhone: 3.5" 320x480 pixels

I prefer the extra inch in size

Macs are nice - I use them on a daily basis, as well as LINUX... and Windoze as much as I must at the office... but preferably Macs. ;)
