Dave Bickler News ???

Postby IngoK » Wed May 09, 2007 6:23 pm

Does anybody have some news regarding Dave? I´ve read here once at the forum that he´ll probably release a Solo Album this year. Is that true? Does he have a website?

Dude....post a question mark with that...you had me all excited clicking, thinking there was some DB news....now my day...it's crushed...what a let down...

Maybe I'll join Slander in some JJ bashing...that always feels good....but then that will lead to Frankie bashing and then I'll end up arguing with Slander...ahhhhh

I wouldn't have a loved one hold their breath waiting for that posted about Dave solo album.

yeah Red, I wouldn't hold my breath on that one either...I mean...Dave he just doesn't have that kind of work ethic...that's why he had to leave the hardest working band in Rock and Roll...no way he could keep pace with one album ever 20 years....Frankie was too much for Dave....wow...now i'm just asking Slander to come on in....

Between Frankie's frenetic recording/touring pace, and JP's thrice-weekly mullet haircuts, Dave just couldn't manage.

When you are in the public spotlight (as dim as it may be for Survivor) and you constantly make statements as to how hard your are working but your actions prove otherwise, you invite judgement into your world, so we are only obliging!

Lark when has Dave made such statements? You guy's just get off on attacking people. You claim to be fans. I just don't get it.

I was referring to Frankie and Survivor of course. No attacks just a humble opinion.

There's nothing humble about saying someone is lazy. Let's see. Frankie has produced 3 albums in the last 8 years. That's more than 1 every two years. He has also managed to keep Survivor playing and getting gigs. You people are rediculous.

I've been so impressed by all of those solo efforts by Jamo and all of those albums he has produced.

All roads (or forums) lead back to Jimi..................... Still trying to find where Jimi talked about working hard, promised albums, etc. Can you send me the links where he made those statements. I will gladly admit when I am wrong, just direct me to the interviews, websites, etc where he made those statements. Again, not taking up for Jimi just wondering why you make this comparison.

Red, that's fine. That has is a seperate issue from Frankie's work ethic. By the way love that catalog JAMO has cranked out damn. I bet he hardly fines time for a life.

Not a separate issue, they're one in the same when FS is touting both in the same context.

Seriously red, you guys need to take a deep breath. My god the venom spewed here is completely unwarranted. It just doesn't make any sense anymore. It really doesn't. There is so much more to talk about. What about a thread on what you would like on the next record? I would like a Survivor/bluesy album myself. Frankie showing off some licks we haven't heard before. What do you think? Great we get it. You guys fucking hate Sullivan. Move on already. It's bordering on childish.

Why doesn't someone say how they feel....

Frankie Sullivan is a hypocritical SOB...he says one thing...does the other....

It's that simple slander....it just is....and to beat you too the punch...i don't care about JJ...not at all....don't care what he has done...(although, sadly it's more than Frankie and Survivor or Dave)....

He harps on how hard the band is working, yet they hardly tour. He constantly talks of new albums - that don't come out.

He says dave is great..he fires dave...for JJ, who he harped on how bad a person he was for eight years...

Then he fires Dave and rehires JJ...Who becomes Golden Throat....only to be fired afterwards...or ran off, or whatever...

We have as much a right to bash him, as you do to defend him...

I tell you what...I'll make a 'Frankie Sullivan' style promise to never bash Frankie again...we all know how much that means...

Hey, on another note...Red....did you know the 'band' reporter is back tomorrow? hahahahahaha

Wow I hope you are feeling better Eye. That must have taken a lot of you. JJ hasn't worked. That's bullshit and you know it. Having said that can we move on to a new topic. My god I don't know how long you guys want to keep this up. Fine Frankie Sullivan sucks. Now can we move on? What is the deal? You guys are a joke. No matter what Frankie does it won't make a lick of difference to you. It wont'. Why should FS post anything? So you should criticize it? Why should he bother to put out an album? What for this kind of fan base. For you? If you like JJ so damn much go wear out your copy of I'M ALWAYS HERE.

All I want's a Survivor album, shows and a live album.

Not empty promises, not filibuster posts on DAT vaults and knob-turners, not "my take on life, by frankie sullivan."

Red, I'm now more thoroughly convinced than ever that there is no pleasing this board. You attack Frankie fine. People attack Robin. It's rediculous. Perhaps you guys should go on the Glass Tiger board. They may be working a little harder for you. If they are not available perhaps the Romantics need some fans like you guys.

Yes, I would like to get a new album out of Survivor, bluesy with lots of Frankie guitar and even more keys! Don't know that Robin has the voice to sing the blues but have heard FS and that is the only style that i think he can sing.

Still, Jimi is busy, he poured me a drink last Thursday, bar was swamped! You remember don't you, 7 and 7

Good for Jimi. Hopefully he's got the Karokee machine going. You guys like Great White at all? Remember "Rock Me." I'm hoping Survivor can do something like that.

The skin is very thick. I just think most of you guys are being hypocritical or delusional in your argumentation. The Jamo gush-fest is nauseating. I also don't know how you guys think we are going to move this band forward by lamenting the past.
