I've read similar comments about high action by Sambora and EVH...but again, much akin to what you were saying, I've also seen em both say "I like em low!" So it really sounds like their preferences change, like the rest of us...

Yeah for sure, there are no hard & fast rules...it's all about the player & the touch.

Everyone is different.

I think most prefer a low action
but an extremely agressive player might appreciate the high action & it also may allow for more tweaking of the strings to get different sounds
