Al Roker Death Cult Wind Ensemble
3 Inch Lynch
Embryo Salad
Die Cheerleader Die
Jerk and the Offs
Piss Poor Paint Job
Sasquatch Genocide
Unprovoked Moose Attack
Turkish Taffy
Unclean Chili
and last but not least....Hairy Cleavage

I think these names take the cake, so far. There were a couple of bands in the late 90's down here - the Pope Beaters and Kill Erkel. One of my first bands was named "Start With Dog", which is actually a very long story that includes lots of beer, pot, and cotton-mouth (not me, incidentally).

How about Anal C*nt, and the Gaping Slits?

Both real band names, I swear. Don't think either one of them are still active, though.

hmm... we've got a local band here called Klamydia...

There's a mention of them in wikipedia:

Klamydia

This article is about the band Klamydia, for the sexually transmitted disease, see Chlamydia. Yep, that's the band's name in Finnish.

Klamydia is a Finnish punk rock band from the town of Vaasa, assembled in 1988 by Vesa 'Vesku' Jokinen. Their records have sold quite well in Finland. Klamydia is also somewhat popular in Germany and has made two split albums with Lokalmatadore, a punk band from Mülheim, Germany.

Real bands - promise....

Blodwyn Pig, Jerry the Ferret,

Nash the Slash - slash is slang for 'pee' over here, by the way. This guy wore a smart suit and put bandages round his head like the Invisible man, wore shades and played fiddle. I saw his show in the 80's - unbelievable! He did stuff like 19th Nervous Breakdown. He did exist, honest.
The 80's, what a period!

Teardrop Explodes, great name, I thought.

And more currently, I think this is funny - Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly.
