I believe to this day that Perry took some of his moves from Fred Astaire. No kidding.
Actually,he said that his tux was inspired by Fred Astaire's,after he saw a b&w movie with him.

Here's Astaire: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j02k9t4rP50

This one's funny...Michael Jackson vs Astaire...

Deb, if you check your disks, I bet you have the full version on a certain video disk... 8) If not, I'm in big trouble for not including it!

Few things about this video that get me:

A. Likin' the "in-between" look from Frontiers  ROR.

B. Well, looky there...plotline, lighting, jokes, DIALOGUE....and just a year before, they were doin' SW on a Wharf.

C. Is that RICK RUBIN asleep on the chair?

The jig at the end of ATF would've been fine until he got right up against the wall and pretended to walk.

Loved the indian dance in Chain Reaction.

But my favorite by far is the spin in WYLAW.

Thanks to Tree and Shania for the links!!

While it is a great song and the guys look sharp as hell in their tuxes, who the hell decided to use a mannequin instead of a real person? :?

Yes, exactly. Looking at the lyrical content they had to work with... "love's a viper, steals your soul..." ... one expects better imagery than a mannequin and Steve Perry pouring out martinis for no apparent reason and then Steve and Neal shoving each other around. There should have been snakes and smoke and gunfire.

And we won't get me started on After The Fall. That has to be their worst video.

Got to be the spin in WYLAW
With the slower tempo song
the spin is haunting.

Looks easier than it is
Anyone ever try it...

What's with the bass player all of a sudden lighting up a cigarette mid-song and puffing away! It suddenly turned into a commercial for Lucky Strike!! LOL....I'm sure Perry loved that

Also, am I the only one who sees a weird iconic parallel between Perry's grasping in the air/Graham in profile among all that smoke and Reagan kneeling before the demon icon from The Exorcist? I know, what the fuck am I smoking....

Yep, pardon me Steve while I just light up in mid song
LOL
Don't mind me
just go ahead doing what you were doing...

I am quite aware of the effects of smoke on s singer
& I am sure Steve did not appreciate it.
There was so much smoke in that video
even I was grasping for air....

Thats the worst video I have ever seen...and I thought SW was bad...good in comparison to this....

Dude, I am happy for you and Sabrina and your impending child, but I wish she would piss you off just one more time, so we can get one of those epic drunked rants from you. I need to find that thread. THAT was classic. Looked like you typed it in Arabic; could only make out every 6th word.

GREAT SCOTT!!!

I just watched the Billy Squire video..

Was he gay? Surely no straight man would have let that video out, let alone do those moves at all.

I can't believe there is a video out there that is more gay than Seperate Ways :?
