Will Eddie's Rehab Stint Stick This Time?

I sure hope Eddie's rehab stint this time around was more helpful than the latest rehab stints for Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. Rehab is not a quick fix. Nobody can fix someone else - they have to fix themselves. Many people have been able to do so without rehab. On the other hand, many people have gone through countless stints in rehab but have never done the homework afterwards that makes the program work. I sure hope Eddie does.

Going to rehab is like going to a dietician for a weight problem. They tell you what you need to do to get healthy, but they won't be around two weeks later to mug the pizza delivery man who is walking up to your doorstep with an extra large deep dish supreme.

Yeah, I have a relative who went thru rehab. He went to meetings for a while, but 6 months later, he felt like he had it under control and didn't need meetings any more. Fell off the wagon and now he is in jail. We are hoping that finally hitting rock bottom will get him to wake the fuck up and straighten his life out. Luckily, I cannot even conceive of being addicted to anything that would ruin your life.

It all just depends on how willing a person is to be rehabbed from their addictions.Eddie tried to quit cold turkey when Balance came out and started drinking again when the cancer and hip problems surfaced. I hope the results this time are better than before.

It would be a sad loss if Eddie wasted away any farther than he had already.
