Definitely 12 & 21. :(
Then I wouldn't mind a little bit of 15,looks like its absence is a worlwide problem.
I do care what my daughter hears or sees and there's way too much public verbal crap spewed.

Funny how they don't give Ted Nugent a mention for the end of No 18  I still use 23 at work.

Yeah, I don't get that one. Lots of people still listen to the radio, especially for talk radio.

I miss #1. NOT! I used to smoke in the workplace and never gave it another thought. Our breakroom looked like a bar. The lunch tables all had the yellow cigarette burns where people would lay their cigs with the fire hanging off the edge and forget about them. The floors were littered with butts and burn marks where people would crush them out. I, to this day, cannot believe that went on for so long. The poor non-smokers were true victims in this case.

I'm not so sure that #3 isn't on the rise again.

#6 was nothing more than a gimmick Coca Cola used to trick people. They did the New Coke thing and then brought back coke classic to lower production costs. They eliminated real sugar from the recipe and replaced it with corn syrup in a way that made us happy about it. The flavor was never the same.

#12 Definitely.

#19 Still have one.

They forgot one. Heavyweight Champions. There's not been a household named heavyweight champion in a long while.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I miss 12,13 and 21,but how can any music lover not miss 5?
More than anything I miss the packaging of records.
I remember the excitement as a kid of going into the record store and seeing
my favorite bands displayed in the new release section right in the front of the store.
I still remember the HUGE displays for the Escape and Frontiers.

You could never get the "extras" in a CD.that you got in the KISS albums when they were released.

Does anyone remember the long box that CD's used to come in?
Don't miss those!

I miss:

3. The Soviet threat
The United States' Cold War rival ended with the stroke of a pen in December 1991. The "evil empire" was undone by internal changes, the desire for independence by its satellites and economic pressures.

It seemed when the tensions were high that we really didn't have any other immediate enemies. Now we've got the Middle East, North Korea, China, and Mexicans to be be scared of.

I definitely do NOT miss #1. Thank GOD I can breath! Ever walk into an elevator with someone who's been outside smoking? Gaaaah!

I do miss #12. I always loved watching MTV and the ingenuity the bands and their management/marketing/labels had with their videos. Bring 'em back. NINA ... where are you babe?

#18? Gone? Forever? That sucks so bad! :(

#19? Isn't gone. Look at my car...

#21 isn't that gone either, they're still touring.

5 and 15 definitely...

...and probably 19, particularly since I had to shell out 300 bucks TWICE in the last two years to replaced faulty parts in these.

I had a touch of sarcasm in there that didn't come through very well.

Remember Sting's song "Russians"? Al Stewart had an album and song titled "Russians and Americans" which was also a plea. Both just great songs - pleas to two countries with seemingly rational minds.

Are there any songs out there now in the same vein? I don't know of any. Perhaps it's because we're no rational than terrorists?

One glaring error is #18:

They may not be able to find any black rhinos in africa...but that's because they've moved here to the US. You can catch at least a handful grazing on American Idol tryouts every January. Some actually make it to the finals.

That lingering smoke smell on someone is the most disgusting stench. There's a guy here at the office that goes outside all the time to smoke and he walks right past my desk when he comes in. Image
