Hey, no need to be mean spirited! I know Brewster isn't much of a guitarist, but to call him scary is a little bit too unkind. Let's be nice in here folks.

Brewster can't carry Schons left nut. There is a HUGE difference between the "Strange Medicine Band and Journey. Lincoln is a testicle.

I agree that Brewster was a pale imitation of NS, but how is his solo comptemporary Christian stuff? I saw a cd of his in a used cd store recently.

I saw an interview with him recently. He had that typical, far right-wing glazed look in his eyes. A sure sign that he's under the spell of some bible-thumping televangelist. The guy is a great player though. Seems like a genuinely kind man. I heard he can't stand Perry. Can anyone substantiate that? Oh yeah, he's on some Christian Rock CD commercial too. The music really isn't that bad....until you hear the fruity ass lyrics.

Well it seems no one who ever worked with him can stand the guy, with the exception of Moyes Lucas maybe.
So Brewster is the singer as well? I thought maybe it was just instrumental.

He is WEIRD....grinning strangely through the entire Beacon FTLOSM show (trying to be Eddie VH?). Creeped me out. He can play a little bit, did a reasonable fascimile of Neal but CLEARLY ain't Neal.

Myrmidons were warriors weren't they? Had something to do with Achilles. It's been too long since I've been to church.

I wasn't aware of that but, yes, they were led by Achilles according to Greek mythology. They were apparently known for being loyal to their leaders and the word "myrmidon" carried the same connotation back then that "robot" does today. Now I'm curious what the correct spelling is, because I also see it spelled with an "a" at the end in place of the "i".

My browser suggested that spelling, so I used it. Believe me, if it weren't for spell check, I'd be lost.

Myrmidons is the correct spelling and the word literally means ants. The Myrmidons were inhabitants of the island of Aegina. After the plague sent by Hera wiped out the people the only thing living were ants that Zeus made into people. They were then intensely loyal to their leader as ants are and they were fierce. This is why Achilles brought them to Troy to fight with him in the Trojan War. The more modern meaning of the word Myrmidon is " hired ruffian".

Actually, the only time I've heard it used is more along the lines of "zombie", "robot", or "automaton".

We will discuss anything here. You never know from one day to the next what in Gods green earth that subject matter will be.

Tomorrow, I think we should discuss the merits of world trade tariffs as they relate to the economy of emerging third world nations and their effect on the equilibrium between said economies and geopolitical concerns.

...{brain explodes}...

Must have beer...

There. That's a much more coherent thought.
