can't stand the Soprano's much less the Gangster Idea, but JUST watching NBC nightly news, even THEY played DSB at the end of the broadcast as they left the air... (after talking about the Soprano's.)

Casino?
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

That was actually a true event. It was the Spilatro brothers. They were beaten with baseball bats and buried in shallow graves in Willow Sleugh, Indiana. It's about 30 minutes from my house. My mom knew one of the Spilatro brothers from the neighborhood. Their autopsy showed that they died from suffocation. They were beaten and buried alive. I hate mobsters and those ridiculous movies about them. Gang bangers in suits...nothing more.

Sorry Lar, but no. I just never got into those types of movies. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind shoot 'em up type of movies, The Sting after all has killings and such as does Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, my numbers 1 & 2 favorite movies... But I'm also more a Caddyshack, Slap Shot, Airplane, Field of Dreams movie guy. I've seen Goodfellas, but it didn't do anything for me.

As much as I hate the whole mob mentality, I have to admit the movies and stories like the Gotti trial are pretty entertaining. Like a car wreck, you can't help but look. I loved Goodfellas, the Godfather trio, all that stuff. Did anyone know that Lillo Brancato, the actor who played the boy in Bronx Tale and also guested on the Sopranos for a while was recently acquited on murder charges in New York?

I had not heard he was aquitted. I had heard about the case originally - almost a little too much like life imitating art.
