That's just like saying Napster is over! Sure Napster got shut down, but 5 others took it's place, then they got shut down, then others took their place. There are more file sharing programs out there now than ever. Youtube might get thwarted, but other sites will pop up in other countries that don't have to honor our copyright infringement laws. It will always be there in one way or another. Cheers bro.

Rick- Surely you have read where slowly ,but methodically, college students are getting huge fines. Some in the $3,500 dollar range for casual users. Even to this day the music industry pays to have those IP's gone after in this country.

They get fined because they are careless. There are ways to file share without being caught.

In the end, Google will PROBABLY not be closed down, because even though it's about sharing videos and such, they specifically state that they aren't responsible for what the users upload. They can only take things down so fast, and once they take it down, 50 people are putting it back up right away. How can you control that?

Do some research on the Music Industry, and find out how much money the artists are actually getting for these fines that the Corrupt RIAA is collecting. When the head of a major record company admits in an interview that his kids "probably" have songs on their computer that they illegally d/l'd, then why should normal people stop d/l'ing? Do some research and find out how many bogus lawsuits the RIAA is filing against innocent people. Then get back to me.

Oh, I've got a brain, don't you worry.

Just another senseless lawsuit. When will these companies learn to embrace technology. They're living in caves.
