So any predictions on the next new singer for Journey?

Let's please try to remember that the new singer is not at fault here, just as Jeff was not at fault when SA got the boot. Despite the fact that the rest of them are a bunch of 'wankers' (that one's for "BS" :wink:

imo a Perry return is in the works, they have the rest of 2007 to negotiate the terms and to work it all out. I don't think there is no other reason than this why they have announced this now.

A lot of posters keep mentioning Rock Star which may indicate that Journey are looking to go down the reality TV show route or already have someone in place from a tribute band. There is also a number of people who claim to know who the new singer is but aren't forthcoming - not sure exactly what the harm would be in dropping a name, after all it is pure speculation until an official announcement (which will come a good 3-6 months after we already know anyway).

Whatever the case, I reckon that they are just looking for someone they can control and rein in when required. Roll them out to sing the dirty dozen whilst the grow old disgracefully after apparently shitting on their own legacy.

At this point my money is still on John West or Jeremey. If it is Jeremey and no-one has denied this as yet, congrates dude what an amazing opportunity! I know you are a fan of King Diamond and this whole situation reminds me a little of the new album title 'Give Me Your Soul Please'.

Seriously though, just joking.

Future Journey singer whomever you are, good luck however I am still hurting to much from the bullshit way Jeff was apparently ousted to get anywhere near excited about the future of this once great band, for the moment at least.

There are quite a few people who are 'in the know' who have stated unequivecally that a reunion is NOT in the works. At this point, I think it's for the best. Steve Perry is SOOOOOO far ahead of the game than these guys.
