Hugo's voice is too weak and too often off-key and he's too freaky with the SP doppelganger crap. Good singer for what he does but not even close to Jeremey.

You're crazy...Hugo's voice is unbeleivable.
Besides his own albums have amazing vocal performances...
His Journey tribute band is the sickest thing out there...you really feel like you are watching old Journey

Good voice but not unbelievable. Terrible compared to Perry, Soto, or Jeremey from Frontiers. Image

The dude is just "too-creepy-alike" to Perry...
Besides, your last statement says it all...

Alot of us don't want to just sit idly
by and watch "the old Journey".
Been there, done that, got the DVDs.

We wanted a fresh start in a fresh direction
with a fresh new voice...
Instead we got shit on and, for those of you
that will still care to follow, will be given
the chance to see the Ultimate Steve Perry Tribute Band
in rinky-dink pub or State Fair near you!
Welcome to Terminus... You hungry?

You know, I know this isn't possible...I think I'm firmly planted in the Perry or bust camp. They've fucked with this thing too much and too long to march out a tribute singer...No offense to Jeremey or anyone else they parade out front.

They really need to simply do a very quick farewell tour with Perry....repair the fucking fractured legacy and seal it up and bury it...never to return. Anything else appears to be a cheap attempt at ass fucking fans that have spent way too much money on a band that doesn't give 2-3 shits about them.

But, don't bother calling HIM (JSS) up & letting HIM know?? :(

That's what bothers me the most. At least give the guy a courtesy call, for crying out loud. I'm sure they even afforded Augeri that luxury but JSS was supposed to be a bud of Neal's. Here's how I figure the conversation went...

Azoff: Guys, this whole thing with DSB being on "The Sopranos" is your ticket back to the big time, except you'll have to dump Soto and get someone else who won't steal your thunder too much.

Neal: Yeah, man. Jeff took too many eyes away from my awesome guitar playing and botox-enhanced face on this last tour. Who's going to call the chump and break the news?

Jon: Ummmm....Not me. I can't fake that crying crap anymore. I'm still spent from that "Behind the Music" episode a few years back.

Neal: I say we just crop him out of the photos on our dogpile of a web site and notify him via morse code.

Azoff & Jon: That's the ticket!

He couldn't tell you anything more interesting than what you already know. We were members and bumped heads over at The Cooler a few times in the past, probably over the same issues that you and I have argued over. :D
